Doesn't "okay to fairly good" and "agreeable but nothing great" mean exactly the same thing as "not too bad?"
No. The first two are more positive than "not too bad".

After many days of listening to it, I can safely say it's a good song but really nothing to write home about. It's not as enjoyable to me as Licence to Kill, The Living Daylights, For Your Eyes Only, Nobody Does it Better, Live and Let Die or even The World is not Enough, which are all so unique. This one is sort of... good.. but not OMG best song eva! or anything. The aforementioned songs I could not stop listening to when I first discovered them.

I think when the film is released and the song is released on cd, Skyfall should jump right back up the charts.

It's the weakest song in the three-film Craig era by a long way. A dire, tuneless, insipid and uninspired torrent of drivel. The last few notes are how the song should really have started and went on from there - then it would have been a Bondian classic. Sadly, it didn't work out that way and many Bond fans are left wondereing what might have been, instead.

I really love the full version of the song when listening to it on my iPod.
The edited version of the song for the movie is not as good. It's the same with LTK and TND - these songs are a lot better when at their full length, rather than the chopped version for the PTS.

I've mentioned in some other threads that 007 soundtracks are some of my most listened to albums. With Live And Let Die being my very first album ever purchased (in 1973), it's possible I've listened to it more than any other album I've ever owned. There has been a copy of it in every car I've ever owned, every MP3 player, my iPhones and my iPad. Same for The Man With The Golden Gun. Along with those, there has usually been compilations of several of the other films, including a few of the title songs.
Most of the title songs have not moved me enough to bother making copies of them and most have been left off the soundtracks entirely. For the most part, my title song playlists and CD compilations have been Live And Let Die, Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, You Only Live Twice, Nobody Does It Better, Moonraker, Surrender, and Goldeneye. Of the rest, a few see very little play and most have seen none at all.
With all that in mind; I was floored with Skyfall. It almost immediately moved to the top of my list when I first heard it. At this point - after several viewings in the theater and the daily rotation of the soundtrack - it is the top of the list. It is the first title song since Live And Let Die that I actually look forward to hearing. As soon as our profiles allow Skyfall entries for the Favorites drop-downs, a few of my favorites will be updated. Adele's Skyfall will be the first entry I correct. After 40 years, I assumed nothing would ever overtake Live And Let Die as my favorite title song. I was wrong.

10 minutes? That's good work for such a powerful and well recieved song. Got a lot more respect for Adele after her work on 'Skyfall', still love it. Hope it does pick up the award, for her sake and the Bond films.

This reminds me of Karen Carpenter's rendition of "Superstar" ... done on the first take, with her reading the lyrics that Richard had scribbled on a paper napkin. Pretty amazing.

I voted "not bad" but I would have liked a "good" option. The song is good, not great, not classic, just good. The lyrics are weak but Adele's voice is wonderful and the music is just fine. So I would vote "good" if I could.
My observations on the film, written for those who have already seen it, is posted right here

This is the 1st cd-single I bought of a 007 theme since Goldeneye, and well worth the money.

I love this bong song, it's very modern and classy.
