If they're Kleinman's titles, they're pretty poorly rendered. Look at the flames.
Could be a trial, a very raw version of a concept

Yes, could be as well. Didn´t someone post a picture of some random dude working on some titles for this?Definitely not the titles but might be taking some inspiration from the script or what they've seen of the title sequence.

I remember at a Sony event there was a banner with an image of naked silouettes in the dark wading in what appeared to be flaming water, with the caption "Let the Sky Fall" I'll try and find it.The harder I look at it, the more I'm convinced we're seeing bits of the title sequence blurred behind the lyrics. A lot of girls, a lot of Bond. But the pistol at the end seems to me to be a dead giveaway. Still, no way of knowing.

Only James Bond could make me this excited to hear a song.
Hey that rhymed.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Oh, and about the Song...LOVE IT!

I don't feel like Bond listening to this, I don't feel like driving fast or taking on the world or putting on a tuxedo. Weren't we done with the angst after the last two films? It's much squeeling, but it's not James Bond.

Well, apparently I have to be the one person to disagree. This song is rubbish. Repetitive. Whining. Wailing. Skyfall, skyfall, SKYFALL. Whilst skinning a cat. Did you know the title of this film is "Skyfall?"
I really had high hopes for this after listening to the earlier preview, and gave it the benefit of the doubt. But it builds to nothing. It moves from Adele wailing in pain, to Adele wailing in pain MORE. The choral echo that begins halfway through ("Let the Skyfall, let the Skyfall..." Remember, the title is Skyfall) sounds like a sing-along from a children's program.
Listening to this makes me want to go slit my wrists. I mean the actual mood and content of the song. It's whiny and, well -- depressing. Quite, I'd imagine. By the standards you've described, I have to imagine you also hate Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever, Thunderball, GoldenEye, and TWINE.
I'm not sure where the impression of 'depressing' comes from. I'm really not. I find the song's intent rather uplifting, actually. Perhaps the most that Adele's ever brought to a song, matter of fact.

you hate this theme you not a Bond fan

Dire, X-Factoresque drivel.
Bjork or someone with a remotely interesting voice would have been nice, but the masses just want an artless belter.
This is utter e. I was utterly bored after 2 minutes and I was waiting for the big breakout and it just kept going exactly the same, with the inane lyrics and dreary melody.
Isn't she meant to be one of the greatest singer/songwriters ever? Yeah right, a couple of big selling albums and she's being compared to all manner of greats, what a disgrace.
And I totally agree with DusterUK, 'You Know My Name' is a really good tune, full of emotion and kicks along at a great pace.
This is just dreary crap which having heard it will make me go and get my popcorn and drinks whilst it's on. Thank you at least for that insight so I don't waste time queuing before the film.
Who the hell cares? I wish Bond would just disappear along with the British Empire. What on Earth is the Guardian doing? Pathetic.
Just makes you wish Shirley B from Tiger bay was doing this thing, it certainly exposes adele for the lightweight she is, vocally and musically speaking...is...
It's bloated... heavy... over-hyped. Impregnated with smarm. And the song sucks big time, also.
Just be grateful Justno Beaver isn't British and was given the gig.
Crumbs....really boring no effort spent in composing that was there. Was it done in just one key ? Just sounds like a draft version of diamonds are forever.
'Crumble' is simply a terrible word to have in a dramatic song; to have it in the chorus, where it's both prominent and repeated, is disastrous.
And the backing vocals are really bad. (And the backing vocals are really bad).
The function of film background music is to set a mood for the screen action but, itself, it should be completely "invisible". On that basis, this succeeds perfectly. No fault to Adele it's just a very weak, uninspired song which barely scrapes in as adequate because of a vaguely-Bondish modality.
Generic pap. Incredibly meh.
I have to stick up for Jack White and Alicia Keys though. I thought Another Way To Die was pretty bad-. I second the opinion that Muse would have been a better choice.
This is the first time I've heard Adele sing. I'm absolutely blown away at how mediocre and lifeless and bored she sounds.
It makes Madonna's attempt sound classy!
sounds like a fat amy winehouse. be honest.
Let the skyfow
When it crumbows
We will stand tow
Terribow.
This truly, truly dreadfow.
Horribow.
Frightfow.
Irritating from the very first couplet..."End" does not rhyme with "Ten".
It goes on... trying to rhyme "then" with "again", "end" with "moment" and "then" with "stolen".
lazy, lazy....
It doesn't have that wow factor, the lyrics are terrible, this is beneath what both Adele and Bond got us used to... truly unremarkable.
And when she sings SKYFALL, change it for SCAFFOLD: tragically hilarious.
I ing loved it until I read all the comments. Now I hate it just like everyone else. In fact it's so bad, it's put me off music altogether.
