I heard it (my second listen, as I type). I really like it, I could definitely see how people can call it generic. It doesn't exactly break the mold, but what it does, it does extremely well.

This is exactly it.

The "generic" criticism won't exactly be off-base. But I don't care. It's the 50th anniversary, this is an event Bond, and after the gong show that was Jack White's song, I just want to roll around in 007-awesomeness. And this, my oh my, satisfies that requirement.

Am I mistaken or is this still not the complete song? Running time is ~ 4:40, not 3:50?

Indeed we have RFM Radio in France to thank/blame. Fortunately it means I don't have to stay up until midnight when I'm up for work at 4am.

So thanks to the wonders of the internet Vauxhall will get a good nights sleep! Everyone's a winner!

You know it! :)

Correct. This will be the radio edit, but may be fairly similar to the version played over the title sequence.

Also, the version I heard cut off quite abruptly.

There's something a bit silly about a choir singing 'when it crumbles' to my ears, but yeah, very nice.

Hook-wise it doesn't really improve: there's not a great melody there. It is beautifully arranged though: the orchestra sounds huge.

I've gone into Twitter and looked up RFM radio I don't see a link to the song. I also do not speak French so how are you guys hearing the song?

I can hear the chorus section (i.e. Skyfall, crumble, stand tall) when the camera pulls away from Craig standing on the rooftop at film's end.

Not a problem ;)

Couldn't PM you Shark, but left a profile comment.

I will say, that I like it a lot, my only gripe is the backing vocals during the chorus, I don't think it was necessary. Other than that, it's good.

Indeed, if it has one weakness, it's those backing vocals. Overkill, really.

At first I didn't like the backing chorus either but on further listens it is growing on me. It has a chanting quality as MattOSteel mentioned. The strings at end are brilliant and her holding the note there, even though you know she will do it was stupendous! The whole song has a dreamlike rhythmic quality to it! Love it!

Yes, but this is the version we'll hear over the title credits. The full version will be nice to hear but it won't change our opinion of the song very much if you've already heard the radio edit.
