If I was available to choose the next Bond girl, I would to a particular originality, both in acting skills and looks. So what do we think about Carice van Houten then? She's a beautiful Dutch actress who surely has got a distinctive original looks. Her acting skills in 'Blackbook' and 'Valkyrie' were marvellous. She could play a marvellous Elizabeth Krest.

Eva was brilliant.
There are so many decent actresses out there who could do the role.

Or Anne Hathaway, or Keira Knightley (pleeaase!) or maybe Paz Vega?

Olga was very good too in her part, and the same could be said about Rosamund Pike and (mostly) Sophie Marceau. I hope we won't see Bond girls like Berry or Richards ever again, i.e. weak actresses (at least not in major roles).
I like the suggestin of Van Houten. Fine actress, and would fit the style of the new films well. She'd make a good villain too.
As for other suggestions, I could see Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff as a Bond girl. She can be tough as nails, is beautiful and extremely talented judging by her performances in that series and the underrated film White Noise 2.

The first pic (with the glasses) gives her Moneypenny look.

I actually would like to see Yvonne Strohskovy from Chuck as a secondary Bond girl. Perhaps if a BOnd movie takes place in Australia (she is Australian)
Strahovski would be fantastic as a Bond girl. She's definitely one of the most talented actresses currently on TV, and she's one of my top two choices to be a Bond girl in the next couple of films (Olivia Wilde being the other).

I agree, I think Olivia Wilde could be great;

Her acting talent is very good I think. She played Ava Gardner in The Aviator very well and is in a few upcoming things but nothing really major.
It would be the boost she is looking for in her career.

Kate Beckinsale as MoneyPenny. British and gorgeous.

EON doesn't really hire big names, though. I mean yeah Beckinsale's not massive, but I suspect Moneypenny shall be my guess:
Some fairly young woman who most people, myself included, have never heard of and will eagerly await to see how she fares
I mean, yeah, Beckinsale isn't "big" but she's a little too big for EON I think

She certainly looks the part. I'll have to see if I can't find some clips somewhere.

I've always had the impression Moneypenny should be cute...flirty...a lovely, attractive girl, full stop. Beckinsale is too high profile, and far too close to being drop dead gorgeous.
I'm almost more interested to see what they'll do to sort of re-interpret her character. Something like Zoe Saldana's Uhura from Star Trek comes to mind.

Give that pretty much all the Bond girls in the Age o Craig have been pretty solid, you're preaching to the choir. Even Fields; I suspect she was written as an office girl, someone who thought everyone followed protocol simply because she did.Okay, to kick it off: I am gay . So I don't give a about big boobs and other elements that make a Bond girl hot and sexy (allthough this still is important). For me it's about acting skills. And when judging those I think actresses like Honor Blackman, Dame Diana Rigg, Maud Adams and indeed now Eva Green set the standards very hight.

Well I've only seen her in "The Incredible Hulk" (and only a minor part), but what about Brazilian actress Débora Nascimento?
Sorry, but does anyone think it says "Bond girls" in the first paragraph on this pic (where it says Guia Um 12)?

I also couldn't help but notice how much Bill Nighy looks like Bernard Lee in those glasses. Perhaps a future M?

Carice van Houten would be a great Bond girl. I notice that the man arriving at the premiere of Valkyrie with van Houten looked familiar and realized it's Sebastian Koch from "The Lives of Others." I think Koch would make a wonderful Bond villain.

I think van Houten would be a good Bond girl as well. She'd probably sit somewhere in my top 4 or 5 choices along with Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Wilde, and Diane Kruger.
As for your suggestion of Bill Nighy as M, I think that he could be very good in that role, especially if sporting a similar look to the one he had in Valkyrie (his performance was actually one of the few good things about that film).

No offense, but this is one of the most bizarre statements I've ever heard. Bond girls are essential to the Bond film lore, and they've practically defined "sex" for the last nearly fifty years. Many of them aren't even essential to the stories, so if you can't admire them sexually, they become rather unnecessary. To me, this is like someone saying, "I don't give a about action in Bond movies."
