"I show not your face but your hearts desire."
I always thought, for some reason, that it was written in Latin, or some other dead language...

Seriously? I found out just from reading the book and rewriting the letters backwards on another sheet of paper...I always thought, for some reason, that it was written in Latin, or some other dead language...
One problem: ABC already ran an extended edition of POA, with all the deleted scenes put back, and they pretty much consisted of scene transitions and an annoyingly brief version of Sir Cadogan (played by Paul Whitehouse); what we got in theatres is pretty much what was written for the screen by Kloves and Cuaron.Oh! Brilliant! I hope to see a lot more footage, especially for Azkaban!

I wonder how much will be put back into Goblet. It's really the later films I've issues with. Phoenix I haven't seen in a while, but for some reason I'm thinking that didn't change too much. Stone and Secrets were fairly faithful, I thought.

1) I think Dumbledore saw Grindlewalt, considering his deep love for him and probably his family. It says in The Philosophers Stone that he saw himself holding a pair or socks. Which was probably a lie.

Reading it backwards is rather illuminating.

I've just got two quick questions:
1) What did Dumbledore really see in the Mirror of Erised? Was itSpoiler
Once again drawing upon the rabid fans,
As revealed to Harry in 1998 Dumbledore would have seen his dead relatives (his sister, Ariana Dumbledore; his mother, Kendra Dumbledore; and his father, Percival Dumbledore); as well as his brother Aberforth reconciled to him when he looked in the Mirror of Erised. Dumbledore felt extremely guilty about the deaths of his parents and sister and his estrangement from his brother.

Did Dumbledore accidentally kill his sister?
Perhaps I need to re-read the only book in the series i have read because i'munclear on this point.
And again, rabid fanboys:
Ariana Dumbledore (c. 1885 - 1899) was a half-blood witch and the youngest child and only daughter of Percival and Kendra Dumbledore. She was the younger sister of Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore. At the age of six, Ariana was attacked by Muggle boys who saw her practicing magic and who left her traumatized to the point of rendering her magical abilities unstable and uncontrollable. This prompted her father to attack the boys and be imprisoned in Azkaban, while her mother moved the family to Godric's Hollow and kept Ariana hidden away from the general population. During a fit when she was fourteen years old, Ariana caused a magical explosion that killed her mother, after which her older brother Albus became her guardian. Ariana died when she was accidentally struck by a curse in a three-way duel between her older brothers and Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, Albus's friend at the time; it was never known who struck the killing blow. This event would have a profound impact on both her brothers' lives.
And I suddenly feel like going back and rereading Fire through Hallows.

Pretty much, although, since this is a children's series, Rowling never names it per se.She was gang raped by humans, right?
Also, was anyone else disappointed that the only resolution that Harry got with Dumbledore was a dream sequence that happened inside his head?

I didn't mind it too much, but as I'd just had a marathon of reading Bleach chapters the night before to catch myself up, I couldn't help but think "Zangetsu" through the whole thing. Really still think that whole final battle with Voldemort was a bit of a cop-out. Okay, I can live with not having an epic battle (much as I would love one), but the way it's executed is just...hair-pulling.

I must say Alan Rickman has been really enjoyable to watch in the role.
I also like what Gary Oldman has done.
Two good actors.

I know for a fact that around 45mins was cut from Order Of The Phoenix. I really hope to see the missing footage reinstated.

Jesus, a whole nother hour? What is this going to be, Return of the King Extended Edition? Also, never ever EVER watch all three director's cut LOTR films back to back. That was fantastic, but impossibly stupid of me.

I've thrown together a teaser trailer for OOTP to celebrate my new laptop. I'm quite pleased with it actually. Make of it what you will.
Please watch in HD.

I've used the track 'Reunion Of Friends' arguably Williams' finest work to date. I always get very moved by the track whenever I listened to it, probably because I've just left Sixth Form, leaving all of my friends behind.
Anyway, enjoy.

I love this track, too, Matt, but the scene you put it over is just horrendously acted and in bad taste; everyone's happy, laughing, Ron jokes about never having a quiet year -- SOMEBODY JUST DIED, YOU HEARTLESS BASTARDS!!!Here's a rescore I did of the final scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. As much as I love Patrick Doyles score, I would've liked to have seen John Williams' take on the movie.

Emma Watson clearly fumbling the take as she says "Everything is going to change now, isn't it?", coupled with Radcliffe's stiff way of playing the scene as he says the line "Yes", is just the icing on the

What did you think about Dumbledore's 'coming out?' Love it? Hate it?
Personally, I don't mind it, but it was completely out of left field. That was the LAST thing I was expecting...But, I'm okay with it.

I didn't mind; it clears up exactly why Dumbledore was so fascinated with Gellert Grindelwald, and why Grindewald refused to divulge the location of the Elder Wand and have Voldemort destroy Dumbledore's tomb.I have a serious question to ask for you HP fans:

They were lovers. It was that simple.
