I don't think I need to go into detail here. The whole "blackface" segment has now gone worldwide! I can't believe that there wasn't someone at Channel 9 to veto this act. Didn't anyone suggest "Isn't this a little bit racist?"
I think they shot themselves in the foot here, because until then it was a really funny show.

Hey Hey! It's Saturday - the Reunion part 2

I'm amazed by the whole thing. Surely, it wasn't even considered acceptable in 1989 the first time they came on for that matter? Is blackface just not considered that offensive in Australia (not that the UK can talk, having allowed a minsteral show on TV until 1978!)?

I'm probably going to take in a few episodes of Chuck after reading this news on EW.com:
Exclusive: NBC may move up 'Chuck' launch

Dodger, I only just saw this post! So sorry, friend!!Flashforward - pretty cool concept for a show. Hopefully I'll be able to fit it in amongst all the other shows I'm surprisingly drawn to.
What are those other shows, if I may be so bold...?
My staples are LOST (which I'm convinced will go down in history as one of the best plotted shows in history), CSI (Vegas), The Office, and House. I just began watching Fringe, and still haven't seen any more of FlashForward (CSI and Office are both higher priorities for that time slot).

I think the stand out was Family Guy, who payed homage to the lesser known Aykroyd/Chase comedy: "Spies Like Us." A lovingly faithful homage and they even had Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd on board to voice themselves.
My favorite bit was after Stewie was beating up by Adam West, he's sitting on the floor and says "I havent felt this...since..." Where we then cut to Stewie standing in front of a bland background staring at the camera, he says "I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do, I didnt hear the set up." I couldnt stop laughing at that bit.

I'm from the UK myself, so I was speechless to see something like this, but yes, you are right, to a certain extent, it is not as offensive here.
This is a country where they quite happily stock "Coon Cheese" in the supermarkets, and people can use the term "Wog" without reproach. In this case, "Wogs" refer to people of Italian, Greek or Croatian background. It used by those people and anyone else for that matter!

It's interesting, I'll watch an episode and find it to be a bit slow and wonder if the show is going downhill. Then the next week I'll watch an episode and the show picks back up and gets interesting again. I suppose that's a lot like collecting comic books, not every issue is going to hit it out of the park.

This week's episode of Glee: One of the better episodes of the season, featuring some great musical numbers (and this coming from someone who doesn't like musicals at all), and some great character-interaction moments. Also, the feud between Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison's characters is starting to become absolutely hilarious.
The second episode of Mercy: I've fallen behind on this series, but it's a decent medical drama. Nothing spectacular. If this is the show that gets cancelled to make room for Chuck's supposed fall return, then I wouldn't be too upset (although the way I would accommodate a potential Chuck early premiere would be to cancel Trauma, move Mercy to Monday, and let Chuck fill the open 8pm slot on Wednesday nights).

Also, tonight's episode of Flash Forward. An OK episode, but I think that they're rushing through the storyline a bit too fast. There could have been some interesting episodes had they really taken their time and slowly moved through the chain of events rather than trying to rush forward to a quick resolution to it all. Still entertaining, but it also feels a bit like a missed opportunity.

I don't know about whether it feels rushed or not, but I know that they've planned the show out for a minimum five seasons, so they definitely have more stuff planned after April 29 (the first season's not even done by then). Also, tonight's episode of Flash Forward.
