There is some person spreading the rumour that Bond 23 is half finished and that it will start filming in 2009.

I won't tell you where this "info" comes from, but suffice it to say, my source told me it came from a crappy website.

Indeed, I'm regretting this post as I'm writing it. :(

Yes slow day for me. :)

I must admit i'm intrigued where is this info. I thought I was the only one who knew all sorts of odd rumours (when i'm bored I go to yahoo or google and type in "risico 2010" or "the hildebrand rarity 2010" etc it's a fun way to kill time.)

I can think of a better way to kill time, but I don't think we need to share. :)

please do I love ways to kill time.

What annoys me is there are so many batman 3 fan made trailers some of which are really quite good and almost flawsly edited some are quite bad.

yet not one bond fan trailer seriously why?

Probably because they had more time to do it. ;)

I suppose. still i find it huilarious as Batman 3 isn't even confirmed yet Nolan has said he may not come back. and yet youtube has dozens of batman 3 trailers Bond 23 is confirmed and yet we have nothing lol.

i suppose in a few months when director is announced we'll get tons of trailers.

Well, if these sources are correct, then your going to have to wait, because I know, and you know that you WILL wait for the release, and theres nothing you can do about it.

The answer to waste the first year: Casting.
Hunt down that aussie kid that did himself in the CR casting room.
And then the film poster will look similar to this (Minus 5 minute photoshop lesson skill level)
http://i315.photobuc...dRisicocopy.gif
We kill Daneil Craig in the PTS (After his gunbarrel stunt), then towards the end of the titles a Sillohute of a man in a suit will walk foward (along with a very nice guitar solo!), and when a drumbeat ends the song off, the Sillouhute screen will fade out to Sam Worthington walking to the Camera, in the Mi6 HQ, undergoing training to get assinged the famous James Bond codename.
And then the entire franchise (In real life) becomes more poupular than when Roger Moore was casted as 007!

They were? I don't think so.

I think DR. NO and FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE are among the best of the series. GOLDFINGER and THUNDERBALL... not so much.

Here's what to do:

Watch all 21 (23?) Bond movies back to back to back. Get a Sony mega-DVD changer so you won't have to get up for 50 hours! Brew a strong pot of coffee to keep focused. Race pizza delivery companies. Call Pizza Hut, "Hello, I just called Domino's and they promised me a pizza in 30 minutes. Can you guys beat that?" Have a Vesper martini right around hour 40 to make The World Is Not Engouh and Die Another Day that much more enjoyable. Okay, two Vesper martinis (six if you want to skip DAD!) Then finish off a fresh pot of coffee to sober up in time for Daniel Craig. Come full circle with a double feature of Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale ('67).

If you can't wait for the next Bond movie after that, you need more help than CBn can provide!

To make it through those two, I would need more Vesper Martinis on hand. :(

I'm the other way inclined (so to speak).

They're all excellent though, and undeniably represent the series' cultural peak.

I like GOLDFINGER a lot, but I think fans have a tendency to over-rate it, in my honest opinion. THUNDERBALL is good overall, but kind of bores me at times.

I'm hoping 2010 as well for most of the reasons stated above, but in particular, because I want Bond 24 in 2012 for the 50th anniversary.

They missed out on not premiering CR in 2-007 - I mean, I know it did for the DVD and some regions of the world, but, yeah....

Don't miss out on this one Eon.

Last interview I saw with Daniel for Defiance, he seemed intent on taking some time off after Tin-Tin and said something to the effect of "it'll be time to start the next one (Bond) and we'll see."

Anyway, fingers crossed.

So you're just going to ignore the fact that MGW says he wants to take a break. If he says that, they'll take a break. Just because they can have a 2010 release doesn't mean they will.

I think this is all pending on when they start writing and effectively roll out (good) ideas. If they start writing late spring or summer and finish it off in the autumn, then that means casting and location scouting can occur in the autumn as well. While I do think that Bond 23 will only come out in 2011, a 2010 release date isn't out of the realm of possibility.

If a 2011 release date means better quality however, then I can happily wait another 2 and a half years.

I concur, but they also have a "clean slate" right now in terms of Bond story lines. Give Quantum a break and put in some other baddie out for himself against 007. Another Goldfinger, Mr. Big, Scaramanga, Kristatos, Kamal Khan, Zorin, Sanchez etc.

Also, can we please see Bond enjoying himself if only briefly. Golf, a holiday or something. Please.

Anyway, here's to 2010 for bond 23. :(

*cracks knuckles*

*cancels date*

Time for a new keyboard. Too much writing.

Last Friday of the month.

January 2009 start up writing date that is offical so MGW got his break between October and January. Why must a break constitue a year? Quantum of solace pre production began in September of 06 preproduction for bond 23 began January 09 so yes Michael G wilson got a break. Sorry Captain If bond 23 does come out at 2010 are you gonna create a thread "why didn't MGW get a break?" I'm going by what is offical everything else is conjecture and rumour the offical news is bond 23 pre production (in terms of writing etc) has begun.

I've read alot of sources that either say 2010 or 2011 will be the release date for Bond 23....personally if its the latter,
then I think I'll lose my patience and possibly mind

The six year wait between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye must have driven you up the wall.

I'm going by what is offical everything else is conjecture and rumour the offical news is bond 23 pre production (in terms of writing etc) has begun.

Why must a break constitute a year? Because MGW said it would! Honestly man, I'm beginning to think you're not being intentionally dense and actually are. MGW has said that he wants to take a break in between, mostly because QUANTUM OF SOLACE took a lot out of them, and also because they're in a unique position storyline-wise. When he came out and said that Daniel Craig was the best choice for James Bond, did you doubt him? Craig is not simply the "best choice", but the heir apaprent to Sean Connery. So why are you so intent on doubting him now?

Just because MGW can take three months off before plunging head long into the next one rather than taking a year doesn't mean he actually will do it. He's said he wants time off, and he's the executive producer, which is Hollywood-speak for someone who can do whatever the hell they want. He's the money-man, the one who secures and provides the cash up front to make the film. He could say "We're going to wait a decade before BOND 23", and while the distributing studios might not like it, they won't have a choice.

He's said he's taking a break. So he's taking a break. You can make every argument against that happening that you want, and you've still got nothing. So stop being so blatantly stupid about it and start usng your head: it's true that Babs and MGW can start having BOND 23 written now and be on-track for a 2010 release ... but that doesn't mean they're going to do it. They want a break, and they're taking a break because no-one except you is arguing with them, and you're not being terribly compelling about it, even for a subject where it's difficult to be terribly compelling about arguing at all. What you're basically doing is saying "God is going to make a new planet earth, but he's decided he's going to take eight days this time, because making one last time took a lot out of him. However, he's already proven he can make planet earth in seven days, so he's gong to take seven days this time!"

So your saying i'm dense Michael G wilson Said writing will begin January 2009 so now I'm dense and MGW is a liar? If He says writing is gonna begin January 2009 then writing will begin 2009 and where where does it say "i'm taking off a year" give me links Cause here you go

“This time we haven’t started, but in January we are going to get some writers together and start kicking some ideas around.”

http://commanderbond.net/article/5720

So yes I'm dense Michael G wilson is a liar and don't wory bond 23 will come out 3010 cause he needs 1000 year break.

but where did 2011 come from you ask

http://commanderbond.net/article/5791

Probably here but if u listen to MGW he is covering his :(. He figured if we can get right to work in january and get a great plot then perfect 2010 it is however if it's March and we still have nothing then 2011.

trust me I have loloked over the news there is NO and i repeat MO news from MGW that has him saying "I need a year off" mno we getphrases like "I need a break" which he got Quantum of solace's pre production began in 06 before Casino Royale was even out (in september 06) now for bond 23 pre production begins January 09. Look maybe you like calling the producer a liar but i don't. MGW says bond 23 pre production begin january 09 so guess what bond 23 pre productionb began this month which means a 2010 release is possible. I still maintain I can't wait to find out what will happen if bond 23 does come out in 2010 I've said early 2011 is a possibility you seem to completly deny 2010 to be a possibility are you going to write a thread saying "don't go to this film cause it cost MGW a break" I mean my god you make all sort of personal attacks over me cause of my opnion Mods talk to captain cause this is the 3rd time he has attacked me and this time i'm right.
