My new opinion would be for Anna Kendrick.

Miss Hall was born in London and privately educated at £29,250-a-year Roedean School in West Sussex before going on to St Catharine's College, Cambridge. She dropped out after two years to become an actress.
Her father, Sir Peter, 79, is one of the most important figures in modern British theatre, having founded the Royal Shakespeare Company and been director of the National Theatre. He is now director of the Rose Theatre in Kingston, South-West London. Sir Peter and Miss Hall's mother, his third wife, were divorced in 1990.
Apparently Mendes is "close" to this actress and if he signs on for B23 and is getting his legover with her, maybe she might be Miss Moneypenny? She's posh enough to be

Freida Pinto 'lands Bond girl role'
Freida Pinto has landed a role as the new Bond girl, according to reports.
According to The Mirror, the Slumdog Millionaire star will feature alongside Daniel Craig in the next instalment of the 007 franchise, which will be directed by Sam Mendes.
A source said: "Sam has been talking about Bond for months now and is so excited about it. The project has been in the pipeline for months and Freida was always the dream Bond girl.
"But initially she was nervous about accepting it. This is going to be the most ambitious 007 yet. Sam plans to reinvent the genre."
The insider added: "Peter Morgan, who wrote The Queen, has penned the first draft of the script and it promises to be visually stunning.
"It will be a typically glamorous and raunchy role and [boyfriend] Dev [Patel] has been joking to friends he is cool with seeing Freida rolling around with 007."

She has a certain animal quality that might be ideal for Bond 23.

Thinking about this, the more I feel it's to reel in some Indian investors cash maybe?
I've heard of worse ploys.

So we're all ignoring the Olive Wilde side of the rumour and the rumour of a Character being a double crossing UN worker and Afghanistan again being rumoured as a location?

Not ignoring just not taking any credence in it. She's appearing with Craig already in Cowboys and Aliens to film this summer which is where I think these tabloids are getting it from. Highly doubt she is also in Bond 23.
Something about the Freida rumour however, is a little less like clutching a straw for me and sometimes in a pile of crap you find a nugget of some sort.
As for Kabul, there's more chance of me playing in the World Cup Final than EoN filming in Afghanistan. I mean come on.
Another place doubling for it would be the logical thought, something that these tabloids suffer a deficiency of as we all know.

i feel if afghanistan is featured it will be filmed in a pkace doubkling for afghanistan and it will be brief.
And the idea of a double crossing UN worker?
remember rumour has it Olivia was in the top 3 to play Vesper perhaps the rumour isn't as ridiculous as others might think.

I don't doubt that Olivia Wilde is on some kind of short list down at EON for a future Bond girl, seeing as how she was nearly cast as Vesper in CASINO ROYALE. What I do doubt, however, is this particular rumor because, as others have said, I just can't imagine EON deciding to film in Afghanistan. I would also be rather surprised if Afghanistan was featured as a backdrop for BOND 23, but I would be even more surprised if they actually filmed there. As for Olivia Wilde, once again, I don't doubt at all that she's on some kind of shortlist that EON may be keeping, but that's not necessarily "news" in so much that she already got very close to appearing in a Bond film already, so one would have to assume (and hope) that her time comes sooner or later to appear in a Bond film. I just happen to not believe this report on the matter.

One actress that is being rumoured today for the BOND 23 gig is Kelly Reilly who has allegedly in a shortlist of two actresses. The other - though I cannot wholly verify this right now - is Clémence Poésy.

Afghanistan, as I have mentioned a few times, is not a great backdrop for a Bond film. It is a political hot potato and too risky for Eon. It can be alluded to, and even doubled up somewhere else briefly, but to use the "UN" you need permission and I am not so sure a rogue UN character with a backdrop of Kabul is quite the zeitgeist vibe Eon/Danjay/'insert studio of choice' would want. Did DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, OHMSS, THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN or LIVE AND LET DIE feature or even mention Vietnam? No. Of course not. Did FOR YOUR EYES ONLY or OCTOPUSSY reference The Falklands War? No. Didn't think so. Did TOMORROW NEVER DIES or GOLDENEYE mention/feature Sarajevo?

It's amazing how they're making these casting decisions for a film with no completed script, no official director, no studio backing and no set start date.
Though of the names mentioned so far, to me Kelly Reilly and Clémence Poésy are the most interesting.
I honestly hope its all vacuous tabloid rumour... surely there needs to be a defined role and then they go looking for an actress that suits that role....but then these are the people that cast Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist.

I would think, the Denise Richards days are definitely over and they do have enough of a script to know, what they are looking for. Still - both don´t look like suitable choices to me.

I think Kelly Reilly would make a great Moneypenney. She has that look and another redhead.

as for Clémence Poésy, I hope not another young actress for a quick leg-over scene although being 28 is more acceptable. Never seen her act though.

Just read she played 'Fleur Delacour' in Harry Potter.

I'm also interested in Shohreh Aghdashloo as possibly playing M. I think the woman is sexy as hell (I've been watching 24:Season 4, and she's a very sexy terrorist MILF). It could be interesting to have an M who is Muslim and has origins outside of Britain proper.
Too bad EON didn't snatch her up about 30 years ago. At 58 she's too old to be a Bond Girl, but she could still the new, multicultural face of England and be the next "M"....YOWSWERS! Watching her on 24:Season 4....I can see why men were willing to melt down nuclear reactors for her.
I'm with you on that one. Can anyone else picture Catherine Zeta-Jones looking exactly like that in 15-20 years?

Actress Freida Pinto has denied that she was approached by director Sam Mendes to play the lead in his next Bond movie opposite Daniel Craig.
Freida's official spokesperson in a statement said, "I would like to confirm that as of today, Freida Pinto has not been approached to be part of the next Bond film."
"It is of course very flattering to even be rumoured to be part of a Bond film but she has certainly not been approached for the role of the next Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig as yet," he added.
Freida is currently out of the country working on her forthcoming projects which include, Julian Schnabel's Miral, Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger and Tarsem Singh's Dawn of War.
