From a critics perspective I can see why TDK would get better reviews but from audience experiance QoS is superior.

Other films in general... it's great!

So you would say, QOS is an audience pleaser for the masses?!

Kit 22, thanks for the fab post. Can you please clear up one more thing for us?

What is all this hoopla about Fields' real name that she won't reveal because it is embarassing, but is revealed in the closing credits. What is her name? Is it what I think it is?

Please advise, babe... thanks....

Yes. I would also love to hear her first name. :(

Oh, and the Gunbarrel Music, is it a dark variation of the Bond theme?

It's great to hear some positive reviews. I was starting to have some doubts.

Quick question though: What did the scene in which Bond and a villain crash through a glass roof look like on the big screen? In the trailer, which I've only seen on the net, it looked a little CG for my tastes.

Kit 22 thanks for posting so much information on the movie so quickly. Would you please mention what the atmosphere in the theatre was like? What about the punters? Did they like the movie? Did you hear many comments from others in the cinema? Was it a hit with the regular folk? And How does it end? -- (you can put it under a spoiler button).

Not that interested in English 'professional' critics - would expect them to do some slapping after their good reviews for Casino Royale. BUT Definitely interested to read foreign 'professional' reviewers to get a more impartial view.

Please don't use all caps its is annoying and childish. I'm sorry that not everyone agrees with you but that is life. I respect your opinion so the least you could do is show me the same and not blast at me like some IMDB troll with a broken caps lock key. We are all fans here no need to be rude Mr. Mharkin007.

Look, It's starting to get really annoying now, you're starting to bring the gunbarrel into every single post you make. Just get over it, not you, nor anyone else can change it... just get over it. Like we all got over Die Another Day.

I agree, who cares if the gunbarrel shows up at the end...it doesn't matter to me whatsoever....well, as long as it doesn't become a habit....it's different and original to do it once, so it's no biggie

If I feel its relevant to the topic at hand I can bring it up, its not like I'm going into the TV spot thread and randomly saying it. Anytime i've mentioned it, it has in my opinion been topic accurate. For instance this is the thread which first revealed the placement of the Gun-Barrel.

If you don't like my comments why comment on them? And when you do why cant you do it in a civilized respectful manor (as opposed to this all caps "I am superior becuase I love it" attitude).

Craig should moonwalk during the gunbarrel. Then give a high-pitched "yelp" at the end.

I do. I've seen people complain about things that they didn't like that I thought was "no big deal" and not once was I rude to them about it.

Just becuase something is "different" and "unique" doesn't means its good. My ,main complaint about this was that it was clearly done 'just to be different' which in my opinion is pathetic.

And there are many posters on here who agree with me, its just when you make a post saying you love it they don't jump in with some annoying all-caps post in the condescending nature that people with your view of the spectrum tend to.

LOFL... I would just flippin' DIE LAUGHING if that happened. Maybe have him do some gangsta hand gestures too.... I mean, hell, they already called him a "playa" in the song. And I know they're not referring to a beach in Spanish. :(

On the other hand, there are many things that the Bond movies have done over the years which were clearly done "just to be the same" that I find to be equally pathetic. :(

In Bond 23 I want Leiter to say to Bond "yo, homie". Let's just raperize Bond. :)

I like to think that those elements have been taken out of Bond with CR and QoS, the gun barrel was not one of them.

There is an old proverb that goes something like this... "There are two kinds of fools, one says, 'This is old, therefore it is good'; the other says, 'This is new, therefore it is better.'"

In my opinion this has been done just to be "different" and that annoys me.

In Mharkin007's opinion this is "new" and "different" so it is better and anyone who disagrees with him should just "Shut the :( up". We may both be fools but at least I'm not an jerk.

I don't think it's a cool idea because just because it's new. I think it's a cool idea because of how it could contribute to the cinematic experience in a positive way.

It looked really good on the big screen- I noticed a united sudden intake of breath from the audience and then a little chuckle when they both managed to grap onto the scaffolding. :)

The ending well... QUITE A BIG SPOILR HERE
Spoiler

The reaction seemed good- especially for a British audience who are characteristically quite reserved in our cinema reactions (well compared to our American friends :().

Lots of wincing – especially when Bond implants a pair of scissors in an enemy's leg! And laughter when there should be. As soon as the MGM lion began to play at the start there was applause and there was applause at the end too. :)

I overheard some people during the performance nearby saying things like “I didn’t really understand that part.” Also heard a “Bloody hell Craig is a good Bond” comment towards the end. On the way out I heard two female American journalists having an amusing conversation. It went something like: “There wasn’t enough naked Daniel!” “Yeah where were those blue swim shorts!” “All we got was a topless shot?!” It was good spirited and very funny.

I got a question for you: How does the films segue into the titles? Ever since the Brosnan films they've made it a point to transition inot the titles in some creative way, it's alway something I enjoy seeing.

The gunbarrel...

Spoiler

I can live with this. It makes perfect sense given the context of the film as the end of Bond's origin and thus gives birth to traditional Bond. Bold move but at the same time very effective and productive, assuming your no BS'ing.
