see, you can take 30 seconds of ANY of Arnold's Bond scores and declare it to be one of the best scores ever. That's the thing about Arnold... he's really really great in shorts bits, but once he does longer cues, it's not as seamless.

Therefore I don't really understand everybody saying how wonderful this is shaping up to be, when in reality it's no different than any of his other scores... from what was heard in this short piece. He also says almost the exact same thing about every film he does as well... you know... gotta get the inner emotion, yada yada... it's like the producers hyping the film.

... but we'll see. I always look forward to the score more than the actual film (I'm weird that way) :(

Not unless you know something we don't. :)

How's that connected to him being chubby, anyway? :(

Arnolds a good composer. Whats good a bout this particular video is that you can see clips or the movie in the backround.

Entirely true. I actually think it would be very easy for QUANTUM OF SOLACE to be Arnold's least-memorable, least-interesting Bond score (Arnold doing "internalized" music spells trouble for me, given his track record with such material).

But those few seconds I heard were pretty solid.

I hate how they play the 007 theme at the end of OHMSS and I'm sure I will feel the same way if they do it for QOS.

Why? It doesn't work in OHMSS, but I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

I like what I am hearing so far. I'll be excited to hear the entire score. It was also nice to see a few short clips from the film. In regards to Another Way To Die, it seems to go along very well with the pieces of the score we've heard here.

I wonder what track the suspense theme is, the one he started to play on the piano.

Maybe when Bond

No, I don't think it worked in OHMSS. I'm simply don't want to hear it at the end because it was at the end of CR.It was appropriate at the end of CR but there is no reason why they can't have an equally up beat theme playing at the end of QOS like another Way to Die again. I miss too how they use to play the title track or a nice ballad through the end credits. I don't want another variation of the 007 theme or a techno version of the title track again.

You know we could have an new version of "African Rundown", like "Italian Rundow" (sounds cheesy i know) for the sequence in Sienna (if i'm right). Instead of African Percussion we could have something more italian, or European at least.

My thoughts exactly. I was instantly reminded of African rundown. I hope we have some samples soon on the web, like we did for the CR soundtrack.
