4 months is not bad. It gives it time to play around the world and make as much BO money as it possibly can.

The time between the cinema release and the eventual DVD seems to be getting shorter and shorter these days
Yes it is. Anyway,a March release date is fantastic.

Ok, I'm here to give an official warning:
They WILL release a better, more comprehensive version down the road.
If you don't want to wait for the Collector's Edition that probably won't come out for another year or two, then don't be indignant this time when you realize Sony double-dipped. They are always going to do that. It's been the trend for years now. It's a guarantee.
Be ready for it.
So we buy two versions if we want. What of it? Doesn't bother me in the slightest and there are far more pressing concerns in life to worry about. One has a choice not to buy one or either if one is so incensed about it.
I'll be buying in March for sure...

Fox distributed the UE DVD's & the first wave of Blu-ray's. I believe they are just distributing & not involved in the disc content (but I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong ). Besides, they couldn't do worse than leaving the trailers off of a Collector's Edition set like Casino Royale.Great, just as Sony fixes the main problem I have with their releases (that being the fact their digital copies aren't itunes/ mac safe), then we find out this is going to Fox. Hopefully they don't shaft us for bonus material or anything like that.

Yes, same. I hope they use the 2nd poster for the cover - the image of Bond holding the machine gun.Awesome! I'm very eargerly awaiting the cover art and special features.

But I think that cheap Qos DVD (with no original sound) will be released here I think in late December - January).

Funny how Iron Man and TDN do live up to the standards. The argument that the timeframe is just too narrow to come up with a decent product is bs.
I feel treated as a **** by this bunch of greedy bastards. Again.

Nevertheless I will rush out to buy the film as often as I have to. Just because it is that good.
That's the point SAF! I love the movie, but I hate the fact that I'm kinda rewarding their greed. It just lacks style and it annoys me.

First look at DVD artwork

Expected really.
I'm expecting it to be along those lines, but at this point, that's nothing more than an image of the poster slapped over a DVD.

I would like it to be released earlier but these seems a reasonable release date.
Very reasonable, in my opinion.
I recall the 7 month wait for the Die Another Day DVD was a bit excruciating. That one didn't arrive until June 2003.

I hope MGM get full reign over this, the special features for the Die Another Day Special Edition were utterly marvelous.
I am pretty sure they will since they own the majority stake in the Bond films and it was thier decision to start releasing their movies including QoS themselves plus they don't double dip their DVD's so they probably won't withhold any major Special Features. Here is what I am predicting:
Disc One: Feature film with 5.1 Dolby Digital Audio and DTS audio and a transfer on par with the CR 3 disc plus one or two commentary tracks
Disc Two: Making of Documentary, Bond girl Diaries, and maybe a few more short featurettes, alternative ending (only if they don't plan to use it in the future), and maybe just maybe an extended car chase with deleted material included.
Disc Three: Digital Copy of the Film (seems standard now a days)
I may be naive but I think since MGM/20th Century Fox doesn't double dip their DVD's they are going to make sure that they have a top notch package since the next time QoS will come out on DVD is when it enters the Bond boxset when Bond 23 comes out and it will probably only have a few more special features than the initial release, plus the intial release of TND, TWINE, and DAD had at least one audio commentary track(TWINE and DAD had two), had a good amount of special features for a intial release even including theatrical trailers and tv spots, and it just so happens that these DVD's were released through MGM and this is why I think we are going to get a better DVD than the CR intial DVD. Does anybody agree?
