You mean Agent Fields dies!?! :(

Damn, Arterton is my favorite of the two Bond girls.

Nice pics though.

It is very strongly implied. I would have liked her to survive like the two Bond women did in Licence To Kill, but it isn't to be.

Ah, this is lame. Waaaayyy too similar to "Goldfinger." I don't find it cool, amusing or neat in any shape, form or fashion.

sigh.

I wish EON would stop doing these sorts of things.

Here are some pictures from the Mail on Sunday magazine special on QOS. I know some of them are already up on the main page, but here are some more.

Love the Action Man sequence where it looks like Craig manages to get himself through a narrow hole in the wall.

For some reason I thought that the Arterton oil sequence was already known. Pictures of it were published already 10 days ago in different German newspapers and magazines. As I wanted to stay spoiler-free, I was a bit angry 'cos I saw these pics.

They should've used this for TWINE instead!

And I'm sure Denise Richards would look good in that :(

I try to stay as spoiler free as possible.

I had to peek at this and am so glad I did. I just got mega-pumped for this movie. Before I was just super-pumped. :(

I think the nod to Goldfinger is a bit of genius and better than any nods in Die Another Day.

I hope this is something that continues in the future Bond movies. When you have a 20+ movie library to fall back on go ahead and place an occasional homage to the Bond legacy.

Intriguing that QOS has the bollocks to make
blatant Goldfinger homages like this one :(

Get well, Danslittlefinger. And let me know, if
the QOS script comes your way!

PPK_19, thanks for posting some great pics.

Truthfully I think its disgusting that out of all the formal newsprint, The Mail decide to give away one of the most crucial scenes. IMO EON were trying to recreate the impact that Goldfinger had given the audeince back in 1964 and were hoping to give the same impact in Quantum Of Solace to newer audience who never experinced the scene on the big screen in Goldfinger. It might still bring a few hairs on the back of the neck stand up, but it certainly took out a surprise that QOS will hold. It would have been better if The Mail just kept out.

Even though I must give them credit for the saucy story between Barbara Broccoli and TV Chef James Martin. I bet he's cucked a few Broccolis in his lifetime!

This homage to GOLDFINGER isn't appropriate for a flick like QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Even for DIE ANOTHER DAY, it would be rather lamely overt. I mean, does this really qualify as "homage"? It's direct theft - same pose, same idea. I'm not really a fan. Sorry, EON. It's time to come up with some new iconic images... not just rehash old ones.

Glad everyone enjoyed the pics. I didn't appreciate paying £1.50 for the Mail on Sunday (terrible paper) but the special on QOS made it worth it.

Agreed. They should have come up with something different, instead of 'printscreening' Goldfinger. Oh well.

I wonder how logically, pretending in real life, you would dip a human body in black oil, then take them back to a hotel room without calling for attention....

The same way how Odd Job simply looks at Jill Masterson and makes a wierd noise to turn her into solid gold in Goldfinger. :(

Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about it. As White says "We have people everywhere!".

Let's face it guys, if everyone in the movies acted like in real life, there would be no great movies. It's a story, so if someone wants the girl painted in gold or in oil, it's the teller's way. If you don't like it, you can always walk out, and let the rest of the world enjoy it.

No doubt he's well-practiced in stuffing old birds.

Yeah, it's one thing to do something that's reminiscent of the Goldfinger scene. But doing a direct copy like this is going a bit too far.

It isn't any worse than Halle Berry coming out of the sea with her strap-on knife. In fact it is better. If they can reboot the series they can reuse old ideas as far as I am concerned.

I am completely for the homage.

I actually HATED the Halle/Honey homage...

I think what I like about the shot isn't so much the homage aspect as much as the stark contrast of the oil on Gemma's body on the pure white linens.

It's more of a visual thing for me.
