They've gotta stop using photoshop but they will never learn. It's too bad John Cork doesn't get to approve the artwork.

Seconded. These covers cheapen the entire package. I havent been this annoyed at a DVD cover since the Die Another Day Special Edition which didnt match the other 19 DVDs.

The DAD DVD Cover was double sided. The UK version had the sleeve design so it did match with the Special Edition Covers.

I'm going to start a campaign, original artwork.com or something to that effect.

Enough is enough with these DISGUSTING covers, they are an insult to the fans.

It's an okay concept, and when little or no Photoshopping is needed (From Russia With Love, The Spy Who Loved Me, The World is not Enough, for instance), they look kind of neat.

But the execution on those that have been Photoshopped is appalling. George Lazenby's head looks ridiculously small on the On Her Majesty’s Secret Service cover, the Dalton image on The Living Daylights is shockingly bad and Bond is left-handed in more than one of these covers.

A real step-down from the previous releases.

Given the similarities between these covers and the seven Blu-ray covers, you can visualise what the remaining Blu-ray covers will look like).

I like the GoldenEye one, the shot of Bond is quite cool.

I would certainly echo the sentiment here that these are easily the worst covers for a Bond home-video release ever. On the bright side, they do make the other covers that have often been criticized here look great by comparison.

Unfortunately it was Ice Ice baby a go go for the Australian DAD cover. ANd a lovely ad for all 19 other DVDs on the inner cover.

They certainly try and milk it don't they? Can't believe that CR isn't even included in that collection. I'm still yet to own the Bond films on DVD and I will continue to hold off until CR is included in the collection and the covers are better.

Would anyone mind posting a picture of what the older DVD covers look like? I'd be most grateful.

Best ever covers were the VHS
Take a look at these

top left - 1987 Silver Anniversary issue (using original poster artwork framed by a gunbarrel)
bottom left - 1989 re-issue (cashing in on LTK) (again using orignal artwork framed by gunbarrel style Bond image)
centre two 1992/1993 widescreen issues, with original artwork
top right - 1998 TND first issue with (sort of) original artwork
top bottom - 1995 GoldenEye cash-in issue with photoshopped artwork (but not too bad)

yes. The 1992/1993 issues were perfect. Nearly all the films (OHMSS was excluded), each with the original artwork in a matching set. They even contained the original theatrical trailers! (which was something very special back, as other than an illegal 1987 video of all the trailers - which was quickly withdrawn - the trailers were unobtainable). Mind you, we were easily excited back then, with no new film since 1989 and no news of GoldenEye it was a bit of a drought

They probably won't be adding Casino Royale into the general collection until the next wave of releases a year or whenever from now since the Collector's Edition is due in October.

It really does seem like they're stretching things with this re-release.

Apparently Casino Royale is not classed as a 'proper' Bond film! :(

No need for them to include Casino Royale at this moment since it gets the Collector's Edition release alongside them in October.

How very George Lucas of whoever's idea it was to make the fans buy the single editions if they didn't get the boxes and now bring out the 2-disc editions.

I bought them all in boxes to begin with and will likely buy the Blu-rays again. That's my decision and I am happy to do so. But I feel for those who have already bought these to enjoy the pictures but were basically screwed on the extras. With the economy the way it is, this doesn't help matters much.

And I hope they bring OHMSS out for the fans who want that. Withholding it is so 1980.

Terrible covers. Downright disgusting and insulting. These photoshop covers (and on film posters in general) is a sad development that has occurred in the motion picture industry.

And it is getting tiring seeing these films get reissued like every year. Make one damn "Special" or "Ultimate" or "Collector's" edition and keep it at that. For goodness sake.

Yeah, I just don't see one bit of logic in this move.
