Interesting.

And we still have an Octopussy image of Roger on the cover of A View To A Kill.

God, those are by far the most unflattering covers ever for the Bond DVDs.

No joke, Qwert.

Piss poor photoshopping. Some of them don't even look like the head and body are proportional, which is a pretty amateur problem.

It's a fan art placeholder.

These covers are just pathetic. The worst we have seen, ever. Absolutely terrible Photoshop jobs, just look at the OHMSS cover. Bond fans can see this kind of thing a mile off. Amateurish, I'm surprised they have the hide to place this on the shelf.

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse. At least it makes me appreciate the new Casino Royale SE cover even more.

What have they done to Tim's face on the Daylights one? Shocking.
Why can't they just put the bloody posters on the front?

Gee, Dalton on the Daylights cover really is negatively shocking. Looks like Kermit.

Its bloody annoying that they milk the public all the time with constant re-releases of the DVDS, covers etc. DO IT PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME

They are just :(. They are badly photoshoped. Why is Connery holding the gun that he posed for in FRWL on the Thunderball DVD. Why can't they just use the original stills from the correct film. I think first release of the UE DVDs were the best. How come they never use any orignal poster artwork for the DVD's anymore. To me that'll be a lot classier than these poorly photoshoped images.

I would absoloutly adore the idea of the poster art being used for the DVD's. Remember the Indiana Jones re-releases? It would be great for the poster art to be embossed on a shiny slip case like they are.

Theatrical Posters was the way to go! There can't be any rights issues with them, because they are even on the DVD photo galleries. These are clearly knocked off on the cheap to be reissued in time for QOS. The only good thing that can be said is at least they have (in most cases) tried to use an image of the actors when the films were produced. But really, I can't believe they wasted more effort producing this drivel than they would have done if they just released them with the theatrical covers.

Even though I am no good at fan art. I think we should start a new UE DVD cover contest, and show them what is really good. Gobi, Mharkin and all those other talented people, you want to get down to work and show them what a new line of Ultimate DVD Cover should look like :) :(

Would be good to know if they are the corrected region one prints being released, maybe with the original mono audio tracks as well . Otherwise the artwork is not exactly a great incentive to repurchase.

If anyone of you are considering buying these, get them from Play.com, they're £5 cheaper. :(

Let's not hold back; chimps with crayons could do a better job. I cannot understand how anyone could have sanctioned these covers. They are simply awful.

I tend to buy most of my DVDs from play.com. They don't charge postage and they've never let me down yet.

Yes they are and i'm not going to buy them either!
When I see covers of this quality it makes me seriously doubt that we will ever get a properly produced collection of DVD's complete with stunning artwork & menus, all correctly restored, framed and colour timed with no mistakes etc.
