I'm pretty sure, the final posters (one-sheet and quad) are becoming more colourful. The current ones are just teaser and they do nothing else... but to tease.

In the trailer we've seen some colourful szenes like Seebühne Bregenz. I think, we'll see the "big eye" one the final poster. I also hope, the artwork will feature Daniel with a handgun (PPK) and not with the HK PDW. This weapon is just the connection from CR.

Desert-style: Bond coming out of the dust... slowly... out for revenge. Desert-style to tease... coloured for the big BANG.

The double-line title design is great. Until they're getting out of double-0 movie titles

Well, it's 100 days to the premiere. Time for the final poster to come out, isn't it, guys ?

The final US 1-sheet for Casino Royale didn't come out until mid-September '06.

Why do his hands look monstrously big?

A lengthy absence from his girlfriend whilst on locations etc.

Yes but this is an official wallpaper developed by the 007 guys, with better clarity. Sucks that you can't get in - what's your resolution and I'll just upload the wallpaper personally for you if you want.

What were they thinking with the logo?

But now, what little chance there was of people successfully "reading" the 007 logo from the O in 'of' and the O in 'Solace' has now vanished with the 3-line set-up of:

Quantum
..of
.Solace
..7

I know we've seen the 3-line set-up before, in the QoS blog among other places. But IO never thought we'd see this in an actual poster. I'm no graphic designer, or typesetter, but I know bad graphic design when I see it.

It looks ridiculous.

Totally agreed. I like the two line logo, but "Quantum" avobe of "of Solace" doesn't looks OK.

Wow, the posters are really stunning for this Bond film.

NOT!!!!!!!!

Completely agreed. This is now 3 subpar posters in a row, going back to the final CASINO ROYALE poster. Aside from the teaser posters for DAD and CR, there hasn't been a really great Bond poster in quite some time, and this poster continues that trend.

Only thing I don't like is that they took the sunglasses off. Much cooler with them on.

But it's a great image/campaign for a film picking up where CR left off: Bond with that cannon of a gun, first his shadow then dead on front view. Rare imagination for a Bond ad campaign IMO.

Yes, I didn't bother ordering it in the end. I'll see if I can find it somewhere else,
cheaper. The frst teaser I've seen advertised for £6, but the most i'm willing to pay for this teaser poster is around £10 - £15, not £25.

I also wouldn't call it a "disaster" by any measure. I don't think it'd matter if the poster was a picture of Daniel Craig drawn by a four year old - it still has no impact on the quality of the movie, and would hardly sway the amount of viewers attending.

Besides, I think this poster's awesome.

Oh, I totally agree. Yes, perhaps I was a little dramatic to say a "disaster"... I just happen to dislike the poster!

The US 1 Sheets (portrait format) are at around $14 on ebay.com.

£25 for a 1 sheet is a little extreme.

The UK quads for the same design have all but dried up; very rare indeed and these have been going quite happily for £40.

Why is that, do you think?

It seems like with Casino Royale as well, the quads were much more expensive and difficult to locate.

It seems like with Casino Royale as well, the quads were much more expensive and difficult to locate.

Having spoken to a few dealers, they are saying that Sony have totally clamped down on just who receives the posters. The days of 'calling up and asking to have 10 posters sent over', are over. They are asking who the callers are, where the posters are to be displayed, why they want them, and it is, if not all, then very greatly in part to seeing them all go up on ebay which means that while ebayers see the film promoted, their spending marketing money to profit dealers is rankling them.

This is why the Vero action has popped up on ebay.

I have heard as well that poster sales are being pulled on ebay although this would appear to be a random exercise due to having seen a few deals go through to fruition. But why this seems to be targeting only the UK quad postes is strange as ebay.com have hundreds of US/International 1 Sheets for sale.

My quad arrived yesterday, it is nice but his left hand is rather large...
