However, it is strange to see this image first here in the UK; the last shadow art poster was showcased in the US first as a 1 Sheet.

I have to chuckle about all this scepticism.Completely unlegit.
Forget it.
The photo of Craig is proportionally all wrong (and in a bad photoshop way, not in any design or style way).
The font of the October date doesn't match the font of the title or indeed the font of the date on the teaser trailer.
Ignore it completely.
Unless the cinema I went to last night has started putting fake posters in their poster cases, it is completely and utterly legit. I was intrigued to see it so I spent a second standing there staring at it.
Its a cool poster, but as others have said its not in the league of the teasers for Casino Royale, which were gorgeous.
Yeah it does, neither of these photos really do it justice.I'm sure it looks better in person though. Right?

I'm still not impressed with the poster.

I don't know it looks the same font they are using under the logo on this webpage - http://www.007.com/widget/
The problem is when you play the end of the trailer through slowly Bond doesn't seem to be seen in exactly the stance used on this poster. Also why have they not just used that image from the end of the trailer, surely most people know it is Daniel Craig playing Bond so does removing his sunglasses really help identification??
Also his tie seems to be a lot lighter in colour in the trailer.
I did. And I rather my new Fan Arts than this amateur Quad.

I know what you mean. I think its fairly cool, but it does seem like a bit of a knocked-up-quickly job.My scepticism has now drowned in its own watery grave.
I'm still not impressed with the poster.

I agree. The sub-machine gun, while cool looking, is bordering on becoming as overused as Moby's version of the James Bond Theme. They're certainly flogging this 'Bond with sub machine gun' image, which also featured predominantly in with the recently released teaser trailer. I'd like something a bit different. Variety is always a good thing.

I'd say it's legit.

Clearly they are trying to sell New Bond - who looks cool, wears shades and carries a big gun.
At least he's not wearing a bandana.

After seeing essentially the same image of 007 with the Walther by his side in promotional material for 20 films, this is a refreshing new take on an old product - which is basically what the Craig era is.

Thats actually the most amazing Bond poster ever, beats any of the others, by a long way. It ALOT better than the teaser.
I don't think any of you realise how amazing this poster actually is, its so simple yet very effective. James Bond walking alone in the desert, with a machine gun... we're going to new territory in QoS I can feel it.

I don't think the image of Craig's Bond with a machine gun is overused at all.

It looks amazing, refreshing and ultra cool. Bond is back baby, ohh yeah!

I see your point - it is nice to see something new. The machine gun is a tie-in to the end of Casino Royale which casual fans will remember. It isn't like Bond hasn't used a machine gun many times in the past but seeing it in this way makes me think "vendetta movie" & I'm hoping for more than that. Not to worry, I'm sure I'll get over it.I don't think the image of Craig's Bond with a machine gun is overused at all.

Yup. And it's a great choice for the image of QUANTUM OF SOLACE. It connects it to CASINO ROYALE very well and says all the right things about where QUANTUM OF SOLACE is headed. I'll only deem it "overused" if EON decides they need to bring it out for BOND 23 as well. Right now, it works.I don't think the image of Craig's Bond with a machine gun is overused at all.

Now, as far as that quad poster goes, it gets a "meh" from me. I don't really like the still of Bond they used (the one with sunglasses, from the trailer, is better).

I disagree. It’s quite drab and un-inspired compared to some of the greats of the series. No where in the league of the CR posters at this stage. I remain unimpressed with this poster.Thats actually the most amazing Bond poster ever, beats any of the others, by a long way.

While I think the "Bond toting machine gun" image is mighty cool, and a great one to use as the image of QUANTUM OF SOLACE's advertising campaign, the posters are mighty bland.

You mean the flame girl poster? I'm not so sure that it is.It's only the second teaser. The theatrical is yet to come. Atleast it's bloody better than the The World is not Enough teaser!

Character posters may have served their purpose with the "old" Bond films (and they do look wonderful as a set), but I don't know that they're appropriate for the Craig era.I've just had a thought, what if this was the start of a new range of character posters?
To me, character posters reek of the old formula that Casino Royale so brilliantly obliterated; that poster's of Bond, that one's of the baddie, that one's of the girl, there's the henchman... It's so predictable.
But the image of a solitary Bond, machine gun in hand, scaling a hill in the middle of the scorching desert... that's evocative - and fresh.

Atleast this poster ties in with the film. What does a flame girl have to do with The World is not Enough? Shouldn't it really be an Oil girl?
This new poster reflects the mood of the film, Bond is alone and angry. Bond wants to hurt someone and by doing this he wants a machine gun, which can do alot of damage. He is standing in the desert, a vast and lonely place - which reflects his emotional state.

I don't think that it is either. The teaser poster for THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH was great, and its far superior to either of QUANTUM's teasers.
I would actually argue that, in the recent films, EON has had a habit of making the teaser poster far superior to the final poster, which makes me wonder what kind of final poster we're getting for QUANTUM. TWINE's teaser poster was better than the final one, as was DIE ANOTHER DAY's teaser poster, and the teaser poster for CASINO ROYALE was one of the best posters in the entire franchise, and the final one was quite disappointing. It'll be interesting to see what we get for QUANTUM's final poster, but if the last few films are anything to go by, I can't say that I'm excited to see it.
