...is Henry Cavill. See: http://henry-cavill....ill-commercial/ and http://hqbuzz.com/he...dunhill-london/ and http://www.brandish....-cavill-be.html

Very Bond, isn't it? And rather reminiscent of Craig's look in the CASINO ROYALE posters.

Well that'll get some exposure; I'm sure he'll be a big star soon.

Not sure about that print ad, though- it looks nothing like him! And the undone bow tie thing is a bit contrived.

Oh; it's a smelly?

He'll make a great Bond in 2015 or so.

The tux looks nice, but Cavill doesn't look dark enough to me. But maybe he's a tad too young now, let's see what he looks like when Craig's tenure is over!

Definitely. I don't want Craig gone anytime soon, but this is great to see him looking the part, even if he is looking a bit too young at the moment.

He could be the next Bond, in say, 7-8 years. He looks the part alright.

Am I the only one's noticed, guys: he isn't even blonde. Plus, he's 6'1" and way too tall. No, no, he'll never do.

I had my reservations about Cavill, but having seen this I could definitely see him as Bond in about 7 or 8 years. I think Daniel Craig should do and will do another 3 (after Quantum Of Solace), and by then Cavill should be ready!

I'm not sure... he lacks that Connery vibe that Craig nailed.

My vote goes for Criag lastin as long as possible (without him doing it solely for the money) and then Cavill

i think the bond movies have changed.Bond now is a killer.one has to look hard and cold. The producers want to have some one like Craig-one who looks he can kill with his hands.Guys, the bond of our times has to look like an assasin. His looks are less important now.

Nah not seeing it personally, I suppose if were going back to the mannequin generic Bond he'll do, all I saw was a poor imitation of DC.

I've always been a fan of the idea of Henry Cavill as a possible Bond in the future.

Cavill seems to have matured a great deal in terms of looks in the last couple of years. I can certainly imagine him looking suitably tough in 10 years or so when Craig needs replacing.

Shrug.

My reaction as well.

I don't know about Cavill's acting ability, so I can't comment on that, but whoever follows Craig in the role is going to have to be a top-notch actor as Craig has raised the bar of what is expected from the actor portraying Bond.

I can see now why they were interested in him - he fits the vision of a young Bond in Casino Royale quite well (in fact the whole idea of the young, impetuous agent would have worked even better with someone this young).

I get the feeling that he's a bit of Brosnan markII though - handsome chap, but is there any genuine talent there?

NOOOOO!!! Don't talk about DC's replacement yet! It will be at least 10-15 years - hopefully. By that time, one of the kids from Harry Potter will be in line.

How about the ginger one?

Hermaine might make a good Bond girl one day.

Cavill would have been a great replacement to Brosnan. But I can't see him in the role now after the indelible mark that Craig has left on the franchise and the role. Really does anyone want to go back to the old stuff?

Frankly I am hoping for Christian Bale or Alex O'Laughlin. As both men can do a combination of suave and rough around the edges. But really I would prefer to have a wait and see approach to the actors who are available when DC steps down, not to mention the audiences general tastes and appetites.

Completely agreed. The next actor is going to have to be a top-notch actor like Craig, as anything else will really pale by comparison. I think the problem that EON has created for itself is that they've never had an actor like Craig before, who is both a top-notch actor as well as being a very popular Bond.

I've never been a fan of the idea of Henry Cavill as Bond, in fact I've always thought he'd be a dreadful choice, but I must admit that, against my better judgement, I find him pretty damn sexy in The Tudors. I could actually also see him being perfectly capable of the rough, dirty stuff. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking? Not too sure about his acting abilities, haven't seen enough evidence either way but, assuming he can act, I'm coming around to the idea of CavillBond.

Looks the part, but as everyone else said, he needs to be able to act. James Bond is a very hard part to nail.
