So, there you have it. Nothing like being fobbed off by a Big Corporation.

This looks like a standard response from a drone at fox. We know fox submitted these titles to the BBFC last year so they are clearly planned, but no date scheduled yet. My guess is the wait won't be too long. The French issue means the region B disc is encoded, its just a case of printing UK specific labels and cases.

Yea its the standard response by Fox and the BBFC links shows that the Blu-ray versions have been submitted so I agree that it should not be a long wait. Frankly I feel Fox is doing a great job of making these Blu-ray's the best that they can be but the whole release schedule is just plain horrible. I just don't understand why they can't just have released all of the rest of the Bond BD's back in March and the scheduling problem started it when the UE single disc DVD's over here in the states were released when they decided to release them in waves and sure it was fine when every three months they had them available but when you just plain stop releasing them before you've released the rest (OHMSS is still only available over here in the boxset) its problematic especially since Sony released all of the Bond single disc UE's on the same date and in addition after releasing the 2 Disc versions of TB, FRWL, DN, LALD, and the rest of the initial BD Bond's individually they just stopped it when the 2nd wave of BD's was released which is just stupid.

I did see Amazon had the films on sale for $22. I was hoping they would have a bit better pricing as they did for the previous waves...
Very odd...
Thanks.

Odd. And, of course, still no word on whether there'll be a second British box set of Bond Blu-rays.
I wonder whether the Blu-ray format has flopped in this country.
Despite my (now) utter conversion to Blu Ray, I think the jury's still out on how popular the format will be in the UK. I still find much ignorance - even in the TV industry itself where I work, surprisingly - about what Blu Ray is and how much better it is.
That said, this smacks to me more of erratic marketing than anything more sinister.

I'm tempted to import Licence To Kill, but I think I am going to hold out a bit longer.
I would be careful. The US version of all the Bond movies are region locked and not playable on standard UK players

A good note of caution. I wish we had some news of the UK release, though.
Versions compatible with UK players are available though. Amazon.fr has a boxset containing Quantum Of Solace, Permis de tuer and L'Homme au pistolet d'or for 54 euros
This may be a stupid question but, as I've checked them out and am tempted to import them, is there an English option soundtrack on these French releases? My French is pretty good but reading the Amazon Fr. website I didn't seem to see any mention of languages.

I'm getting just as impatient as you my friend, especially as I've only just sold my complete Bond DVD collection, to help fund the Blu Ray films
That's exactly what I did and I miss my collection already. Oh well, I guess I'll give my FYEO-Blu another spin. So cheesy, but so good!

This BD is definitely worth buying if you think the movie is anywhere from just OK to amazing. Personally, I think it's amazing.

I just watched LTK, and it was by far the most enjoyable Bond BD experience so far. The picture is amazing, almost reference quality at times. In some scenes, there isn't as much detail as would be ideal, but it's a very impressive transfer.

Great to hear! I'm hoping to get it picked up soon. I'm waiting for a sale though. I think Golden Gun and LTK should be priced at $15 at some point soon.
I enjoyed the Dalton Bond films. Daylights is my favorite but I enjoy LTK too. It was pretty exciting to see Timothy Dalton take over for Roger Moore in The Living Daylights. I remember watching the Happy Anniversary 007 special and being so excited about the new film in 1987. Roger Moore will always be my favorite Bond so it was great to see him kind of doing a hand off with the promotional show.
Is there any news on the next wave coming as well?
Here are a couple of more reviews of LTK.

The shot happens between Dario and Krest reactions shots.
EDIT: Ha! Just popped in the SE DVD and, nope, the shot isn't there. It goes direct from Dario to Krest. This is the uncut LTK. Yeah violence!

So I'm watching LTK and there is an underwater shot while Felix is being feed to the shark that clearly shows his leg missing and a bloody stump. I've never seen this before. Is the version restored, or is it just the clarity of the blu-ray that brings out the detail?

Cool. I will have to sit and rewatch LTK soon.

Underwater Felix legless (what I described above).
Krest head explosion does not cut away. You see the whole thing.
Shot below conveyor belt shredder when Dario starts to fall in -- gore comes through, chunk of meat hits camera lens.
Extra shot of Sanchez on fire thrashing around.

Unless the UE version was uncut, then yes.Nice catches, zencat! Is this the first time the uncut Licence to Kill has been available in the US?
I was thinking this might be old news. Guess not. Maybe we should break this into it's own thread? "LTK Blu-Ray is uncut version".

All of those new shots were in the UE version of LTK at least over here in the U.S.
