When M wants privacy, she can touch a button and the glass wall that separates their offices frosts over.

The Sum Of All Fears movie had something similar.[/quote]

This is real technology that has existed for quite some time.

Of course I have no idea what they have planned, but is anyone else slightly concerned about this "freefalling" stuff? Especially when it involves the Bond girl? Just sounds a bit daft to me.

In concept, it sounds silly to me, but I have no idea what they're doing with it beyond some vague comments. I'm reserving judgment until I can get a better idea.

So, where do we think this underwater sequence takes place? The Panama Canal, maybe?

I am a bit uncertain about that, but we'll see how it goes.

Nice catch.

The plot synopsis is great.

I read somewhere that the underwater sequence involves a building or room or something being completely flooded.

Ah, right. I suspect it's the MI6 safe house, then.

Eh? Didn't we just have that?

Ooh good guess! That would be cool, especially if it's deep underground as previously reported. Maybe Bond then has to escape from the safe house using Siena's underground tunnels and avoiding the torrents of water.

I really hope they handle the "fictitious country" bit properly. This is the sort of thing they loved to do in the A-Team and the Rambo cartoons.

Probably why, even though i love the Dalton movies, i dislike the whole idea of Isthmus - a bastardized Panama-Mexico hybrid from hell.

There has been no confirmation yet that there is indeed a fictitious country in QUANTUM OF SOLACE. I'm slightly cheered by the fact that both Bolivia and Haiti are both going to be used as locations in the movie, but neither are actually being filmed in. This suggests to me that they could be sticking to real countries. I would rather have a country not referred to by name than have a fabricated one though.

You are absolutely right. Casino Royale, for example, had "Nambutu" and that was handled well. Here's hoping.
