Gemma told the BBC that her character comes to a sticky end.

Lowered into a large vat of glue, perhaps?

Ha, good one. I hope it is not a glue vat full of feathers. And she still couldn't fly.

When M wants privacy, she can touch a button and the glass wall that separates their offices frosts over.

Maybe the glass wall can be useful... if an agent tries to kill you...

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere, but I find it quite fun that Dench revealed we'll get to see or at least hear M's husband again.

I agree, but it worries me a little that M 'gets to do more stuff'. More even than in CR? Was it perhaps Dench swinging on that piece of rope in the B roll footage, not Craig? Anyway, I prefer my M scenes confined to his / her London office. I think Eon is wearing out the character a little.

Still, I'm going giddy over almost everything else I've seen and heard thus far. Greene could become a classic villain, IMO, the Devil disguised as an aloof, brilliant and remorseless Wall Street prince.

I think we have enough information to put together what the opening sequence of QUANTUM OF SOLACE looks like:

QUANTUM opens in the reported subterranean MI6 safe house, where Bond and M are interrogating Mr. White. Their interrogation is interrupted when a traitor kills Mr. White to silence him, then takes off, and the car chase follows through Siena, eventually transforming into the rooftop chase.

Mm, maybe. Alternatively, it does open on the shores of the lake (the lake does seem to be involved) and whatever happens there ends with Bond escaping with Mr White and then all this sort of thing - which is an excellent guess - happens soon after the titles; another action scene fairly soon afterwards, in the Casino Royale mode.

Other interesting thoughts:

-So MI6 has been given a make-over. It's about time. Along with the glass idea, which I rather love. It seems that MI6 headquarters may have even changed locations.
-A free fall sequence? Hmm. I'm having flashbacks to MOONRAKER. I wonder how this ties in. We know Camille is involved due to Olga's comments.

That's pretty much word for word what I was about to post, plus I'd add in the footchase through the subterranean tunnels leading into the car chase and rooftop chase. I definitely think that this is a synopsis of the pre-title sequence for QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

Too early to say anything, but I was hoping for a more classic look for M's office. Like Ken Adam's version or the MI6-castle in TWINE. Cant see why we need a sci-fi office for M. She's not captain Kirk.

I think we've got it. The subterranean tunnels might happen here. I suppose the fight in the art gallery in Siena could also be part of this apparently rather large sequence.

I'm not sure quite what this free fall thing is. I think it was the BBC report that described it as some sort of "body flying, like base jumping in-doors. Just doesn't quite add up to me (parachuting indoors?).

Having thought about it, there does seem quite a huge amount of different action scenes set in Siena for it only to comprise the pre-title sequence. Perhaps the art gallery explosion is later... I do feel fairly sure that the movie will open with Bond and M interrogating Mr White (an hour from the end of CASINO ROYALE) but if that is the case, I wonder why the production will be heading to Lake Garda to film on the roads surrounding the lake.

The synopsis did suggest that after Bond heads to Haiti, he will go back to Austria and Italy before finally following the trail to South America so perhaps some of the Siena action will be at a later stage of the movie...

Having thought about it, there does seem quite a huge amount of different action scenes set in Siena for it only to comprise the pre-title sequence.

The only one that doesn't quite seem to fit is the art gallery explosion, which could easily be something separate.

I do feel fairly sure that the movie will open with Bond and M interrogating Mr White (an hour from the end of CASINO ROYALE) but if that is the case, I wonder why the production will be heading to Lake Garda to film on the roads surrounding the lake.

Well, it probably opens with a shot of Bond driving in his car with Mr. White, tied up in the back. Then we cut to Bond and M interrogating him, later. That way you get the typical post-gunbarrel sweeping shot, rather than opening in a dark, underground cellar.

The synopsis did suggest that after Bond heads to Haiti, he will go back to Austria and Italy before finally following the trail to South America so perhaps some of the Siena action will be at a later stage of the movie...

I'm not sure. I don't know if the "on a mission that takes him to Austria, Italy, and South America" is meant to be taken chronologically or not. To take it chronologically is probably reading too much into it, it's likely meant as a simple "this is where QUANTUM OF SOLACE is set" summary.

I found this video of an indoor base jump. Amazing. Some people really are insane!

That would be one heck of a stunt.
