[JAMES BOND IS BACK IN ROGUE KILL :D

I think people would improperly hear this, and wonder why they've made a Bond movie called "Road Kill."

Actually, Craig did talk a bit much on TV again.

The title is 2008.

yeah like the "more comedy" mess from a few months ago. 2008 makes no sense to me but hey its notlike I read the script!

You know he could have just been babbling and referring to the fact that all we have is a working title of Bond 22..."its really just a number..." as he was paraphrased.

You know there are three topics on the title of Bond 22.

Indeed. It's all getting a bit out of hand, really. At the very least, I suppose this shows just how eager we all are to know more about the next Bond film.

True. Good one mate. Then how about: DOUBLE 'O' FOR A KILL

(I know, it sounds like a poor man's version of Dial M for murder...)

There was a story in the "Intercepted Headlines" area that stated that Haggis hadn't named Bond 22 yet. Curious, I wonder if it is a requirement for him to name it. With the strike we could be without a name for a while.

I always figured the producers/studio had final say on the title.

Yes, that is what I have always thought as well. Even if they don't I think that in this case they should choose it. Out of all the titles I have heard around these forums, I have to say that none of them really stand out to me. But that is of course just my humble opinion.

Why bother dressing Danny boy in dark blue dinner suit? What do they mean by ommiting the bow tie? I can't bloody understand it man. Just dress the bloody idiot in a pair of jeans and a leather jacket if EON want to fade the formal look ofg Bond. Fleming's Bond wouldn't have been seen dead without a bow tie. He was a real Gent. EON are creating a bloody ruffian if you ask me. They did it with LTK, CR and in this poster. Nah. Take thius direction and you're gonna loose me dude. I like Bond fully dressed as Fleming would have dressed him.... To Kill.

Most photos I've seen of Fleming, he was wearing shorts walking barefoot in Jamaica, like. Just saying, as many images of him on a beach as there are in a dinner jacket.

Not sure why folks are concerned about an uber-zippy title, most Fleming titles are on the dull side if not downright sleep-inducing. They only become of more interest when attached to their specific storyline. "The Property of a Lady" would be a fine Bond title I'm sure, as would the seemingly innocuous "007." It all depends on what they're then attached to IMHO. And, calling the film after CR, the reboot in which Bond "becomes Bond," the defining "007" does seem to fit, IMO. It doesn't have "Kill" or "Die" or "Gold" in it ( :D ), but it is a bold choice, and begs a terrific film. If Haggis as rumored has written such a beast, and it does indeed "look inward" as Forster suggests, then "007" could be genius.

Sorry guys I think I'm a bit too old fashioned. Getting old maybe :P It's just that I think Bond in the poster should wear a bow tie if he is wearing the dinner jacket. If they want to change and have him wear a suit then fine. But not sensa tie please. Take Brosnan in TWINE. He wasn't in bow tie or dinner jacket but the suit and tie were sharp and cool. Rememeber Bond isn't just about big bangs and kisses (or should that read kisses kisses bang bangs) Bond is also about style too.

Harry :D (Was a bit tippsy last night. Too many Gins for my liking :D

But he is wearing a bow tie in that pic, it's just been undone, the way it often is towards the end of the night. Maybe he'd just been to the MI6 Xmas do and overdone the sherry a little... :D

Some are better than others. I like them all, but at least half a dozen should've had a different title IMO, because dreck like TSWLM just shouldn't exist. :D

Agreed, that The Spy Who Loved Me is probable one of the weaker titles of the novels. :P

But even that has a certain something

"007", which is still especulation at this point, just doesn't work marketingwise. Merchandising for example wouldn't work since it "sells" the brand but not that particular movie.

Unless they come up with two titles (like the latest Die Hard; Live Free / 4.0) which would be unusual and ridiculous for Bond.

Like I did last night with the bleedin' gin. :P Wow, what a headache this morning :D . Anyway, I get your point about the bow tie being there but I just don't like it being 'undone'. Too die hardish or what have you. Party or no party he has to have the dicky bow tied up. You know, keep up appearance and all that as an agent in Her Majesties Secret Service. It was ok for LTK and Casino but enough is enough, for me at least. I'd like to see Daniel Craig in a typical James Bond pose and in full dress in the Bond 22 poster.

It's the second movie in the franchise restart. Think about it, "double" is in the title, 007 it will be ! That will make it the biggest tickets seller ever in the history of the franchise, the ultimate James Bond film !

If they start using these very basic elements like "007" as the title, then how about future Bond movies being called "Gunbarrel" or "Walther PPK"?

I personally think it looks classier with it undone. It's got a nice edge to it.
