It's going to be very hard to not shell out for these.
I swear I told myself I'd just buy my favourite ones. But at the store I came very close to buying all 14. I decided to start with the first three, even though my wife encouraged me to just buy them all then and there!! Unfortunately, with bills to pay, dropping a few hundred bucks on them all at once wasn't a good idea.

Holding off & just getting a few of these was harder than I thought. I just ordered the first seven. The Dollar to Pound conversion is not pretty.
May I suggest you order them from chapters.ca or, if they have them, amazon.ca? Chapters definitely has them - that's where I bought mine today. Since the US and Canadian dollars are on par, and shipping rates are cheaper, you might save a few bucks.

Will I buy them? Of course! But I'll buy the books later when the conversion rate isn't a killer. I have Bond OCD, I have to collect the different editions, why stop with these?

Because if so I'll finish collecting the paperbacks first.
Scratch that, I have an amazon.com account. How reliable is Amazon.co.uk if I wanted to order the hardcovers from there?

My first thought on seeing the CR cover was, 'Gee, Austin Powers and Charles K. Feldman have finally won'.
Just awful.

Thanks for the tip. I'll price them against Chapters when I place my order for the rest of them.Holding off & just getting a few of these was harder than I thought. I just ordered the first seven. The Dollar to Pound conversion is not pretty.

Am I right in thinking that the books will cost $30.00 per book?

Yep, if buying them seperately.

Now that Bond is back to "serious" business on the screen, it was time to put these covers back to some kind of similar vein, not AUSTIN POWERS MEET 1967 CASINO ROYALE.

I’ve been noticing a lot more of the Penguin Ian Fleming books in mass market paperback size in stores. Does anyone know if they are phasing out the trade paperback editions - or, the entire series altogether to make way for these new covers?
Are you referring to the ones with the retro Richie Fahey/Roseanne Serra covers, sharpshooter?

These editions did make it over to the UK in late 2006 in the mass market paperback size with new author introductions.

Are there trade paperback (large format) editions of these cover designs (or the new centenary issues) available in the US?
The new 2008 Centenary edition reprints are UK/Canada only, unfortunately.

I like the Dr. No one. Golden Gun and OHMSS look okay too. But overall? Nah.

Reminds me of the 2002 UK Penguin hardback reprints. While those paperbacks show up everywhere, including the boxed set, the hardback editions are seemingly nowhere to be found. I never even see them on eBay.
