Yep, that's correct Mr Twilight.

The 1954 version is on the current Region 1 DVD release (but not Regions 2 or 4). No word yet on whether or not the 40th Anniversary Edition will include the Climax! episode or not.

Didn't Spyguise release a VHS of the complete 1954 TV-movie?

Yep. Kind of annoying as it's the only complete Bond movie not on DVD yet.

I thought there was no "complete" version still in existence! (re: Mr. Twilight's mention of the last 1-2 mins. missing. I had read that this was destroyed, and there were no original reels left?

Anywho, yes CR67 is nearly unwatchable, but I'll be buying this DVD for sure! If for no other reason than the extras (as I already own the current version...)

The version of CR54 that Spy Guise produced had the whole film with the last minutes restored (in pretty bad shape but still watchable). There are still some missing seconds of the end credits but that is something I can live without

I'd really like to see the making of this bizarre mess, that I enjoyed for some odd reason or another. Though Peters Sellers should have been longer in the movie.

I'm also interested in this 1954 Climax! Bond, as I have NEVER seen it. It would please me to find it on R2 region dvd's too.

You should check out the version on the Casino Royale DVD for now. I'm not sure if the complete version on Spyguise VHS is also available in Region 2.

Very cool news. Even though I'm not a great fan of the film, I'll probably grab this.

Why is it that this has better cover art than any of the "official" Bond DVDs? Geez...

Must be some sort of inverse equation relating to quality.

I don't really care for the cover art. I've alwayed hated the tattooed woman. I would have prefered the art work of all the different actors and actresses.

I'm still buying it though.

I'm more confused as to why promotional stuff (and all but the old R2 DVD cover) totally gloss over the fact that the star of the movie is supposed to be David Niven...

I mean, I know there's a ton of 'James Bonds' that come and go, but he is THE James Bond, and the main focus of the movie!

They are still trying to sort out how to explain what goes on on screen and what went on behind the camera.

Yeah! 40 years after the fact, LOL! Woody Allen just barely made this movie watchable, the rest was pure rubbish. I did buy the first DVD because it also had the 1954 CR TV movie, but I don't think I need bother with this double-dip.

Oh come on, CR '67 is brilliant and hilarious if you don't try to figure it out.

It is what it is: a spectacular mashing of big-name stars and even bigger egos.

The egos make it fun. Sellers in particular, if you consider that he took the whole thing so damn seriously and really, really wished he was James Bond in real life. Case in point: Britt Ekland.

Of course it's a complete disaster. Thats part of the fun.

Like a really colorful train wreck. With spaceships.
