I have never watched this show but I've heard that Tricia Helfer has joined the cast. It might be time to give this series a shot.

I'm one of those in American who still don't have cable TV at all But I've head of the show before through commericals. So what is the show more consider as a superspy type or close to real world type spy show?

I'm glad this show is back. Jeffrey Donovan can play smooth and comic without being over the top foolish. His brit accent was great. And the scene where Sam was trying to teach the computer geek a card game he played in the SEALS brought back images of Captain Kirk teaching the gangsters Fizzbin in that old Star Trek episode.

"So you can play a two, or what's two plus four, six you can play a six, or four plus four is eight you can play an eight, eight divided by four is two, you can play a two."

One thing I missed though. When I first started watching the show Fiona had a Irish accent, then I missed a couple of episodes and she's got an American one. I thought she was ex-IRA?

In the second episode she was talking in an American accent and Michael said to her "new accent?"

She replied "If I'm going to be in Miami, I can't go around sounding like a Leporchan"

Neither, but closer to superspy. It is a lighthearted show about a former spy who is basically fired from his job. He is trying to find out who set up the false accusations while making side money by helping people. It's kind of like The Equalizer meets The Saint meets MacGyver.

The voice overs are one of the best parts of the show & Fiona was looking as beautiful as ever. I will say that Michael's mother really adds no value to the show except for just filler - & annoying filler, at that.

You need to see "Bubba Ho-Tep" and "The Evil Dead" trilogy (directed by Sam Raimi). Not that he's like Felix in those movies, but just to see more of Bruce Campbell. :(

Campbell was great in Bubba Ho-Tep.

Burn Notice: The Soundtrack is now on iTunes, FYI.

Music or songs, Righty? Not really interested if it's only songs.

Unfortunately, just songs so I'll be passing on this one as well.

Just saw the second season's opener. I was pleased and am stumped by why one local review complained about the new direction: emphasizing the storyline in which Michael battles back against his burners.

I see room for weekly 'capers' or 'cases' while still working the other angle. And I thought the producers and writers did a first-class job in bringing new viewers quickly up to speed...and reintroducing us all to the quirky and likeable cast.

I enjoyed the first episode of the second season quite a bit. The show does not seem to be resting on its laurels, and putting Michael in another uncomfortable situation (working for "Carla") on top of the burn notice has a lot of potential. Also, I've a feeling the action budget got upped for this season.

Incidentally, for those without cable: USA is putting the new episodes on the show's website Friday morning. Jump on the BURN NOTICE train!

good call, Jack'. Prior to watching the new season opener, I viewed the last 3 shows of last season--and you're right, the action's lookin' much better.

And BN gets special kudos from me for getting one leeeeeetle detail right that most everyone gets wrong....in novels, TV and film:

Our hero refers correctly to a prepaid phone--not a disposable phone. One TV show showed its hero opening a plastic bubble, taking out the phone....and instantly making a call. Now, of course, these phones can be thrown away--but they must be activated. And part of that consists of paying in advance for the service. For a number of reasons--including the anonymity--these phones appeal to nogoodniks. But they're not disposable in the sense that you buy them loaded up and all ready to go, then throw them away when they've used up their loads. Thus endeth the rant.

We Aussies get start getting burned this Sunday night.

Geez, I can remember a time when we used to have to wait 6-12 months to see new shows on Aussie TVs.

Yeah, I mean a certain other spy tends to have a lot of brand names associated with it, so why not...!

I checked it out. It allows you to view every item in Weston's wardrobe and BUY IT!

EDIT: Oh, and it has a section with Fi's clothes for women. I didn't see if it has a section for Hawaiian shirts and dopey sandals, though.

First find a cigarette with a nice long ash and permanently hang it out of your mouth. From there the rest is just window dressing!

Wow. The series continues to go from strength to strength. This episode really zips along. Some nice business with Sam, a new and I hope recurring character is introduced, fantastic finale to the case.

I really look forward to Thursday nights for this. What say you?

I'm starting to get more excited each week and I love the strengthened focus on Michael tracking his burners. The balance is finely tuned between that and each week's caper. Go, BN!

I got a chuckle out of this one too. Most of the long sleeve dress shirts are cheaper than this t-shirt.

Looks like Michael & I have the same pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes.

With any luck it will kill her before the end of the season

One thing I prefer about Bond is that he's a little colder. He'd certainly wouldn't be guilted into doing things by his mother.

I still fail to see any value in her character at all.

I typically didn't care much for the "family" episodes in the first season but this one was good.
