I agree, as the season progresses the actors get more comfortable with their characters, some sexual/love subtext builds, and Sam gets funnier!I think it gets better in the later episodes of the season myself.

The middle of the season drags on a bit especially the episodes that have more of an emphasis on Michael's mother & brother. After you get past those, the quality definitely improves. I'll be picking up the Season One DVD set later today.I agree, as the season progresses the actors get more comfortable with their characters, some sexual/love subtext builds, and Sam gets funnier!I think it gets better in the later episodes of the season myself.

Thanks to my TiVo for alerting me to this by adding all 12 episodes to my To Do list without me asking.

I have been enjoying season 1 an episode per week for the last month or two. We've gotten past the mother/brother episodes and back to the good 'ole espionage action.

*Michael stands over goon duct taped in the trunk of the Charger*
"Now, if you're good, you can ride up front."
Oh yeah, I'm ready for the "Burn".

It's up on the USA website. Fun stuff. They're also running new snips of the new season.

Me too--I may end up chasing Santa round the couch!

Clips are promising.
Michael: "We've got a job."
Sam: "Does it pay?"
Michael: "No, it's more of a "If you don't do it, we'll kill you" sort of thing. I need a sniper rifle and some C-4."

He would have made a great Felix Leiter in the Brosnan era but he's too much of a comedian for the Bond films now.Who else thinks Bruce Campbell would make a great Felix Leiter?

Going just by his Burn Notice character (that's all I've seen him in) I'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between him and Jack Wade.Who else thinks Bruce Campbell would make a great Felix Leiter?

I was bit wiped out yesterday from a graveyard last minute editing gig, and hadn't gotten home until after 9am.
The pay was long, but the night was longer on my gig. Miss West will be making me pay for that missed dinner. She's probably deciding exactly how to kill me.
Now, having been up at 3am, I have viewed the episode.
The V.O. narratives are still the sharpest (also very educating for a spy), the action was good, Sam was spot on, and Fiona...Well...Fi is the hottest spy-chick/IRA gunrunner/marksman - excuse me - "marksWOMAN" ever.
and now Miss Carla - interesting "Thank Sam for the help with the crossword" - Great move.
We're off to a another good Burn.

You need to see "Bubba Ho-Tep" and "The Evil Dead" trilogy (directed by Sam Raimi). Not that he's like Felix in those movies, but just to see more of Bruce Campbell.

I certainly hope Burn Notice isn't going to turn into a product placement show.
Other than that, it is great to be back up and running with season 2!

The show is presented by Saab, even though the main car this week was Sam's shot-up CTS. Then at the very end Jimmy gives Michael a Saab convertible.

What do you mean??? The sub premise of Burn Notice is nothing but product placement - the whole show is a conspiracy set forth by the Yogurt companies.

Indeed, then it'd be easier to accuse it of following in Bond's footstepsI certainly hope Burn Notice isn't going to turn into a product placement show.
