Yeah. I like it how the film will have it - we learn the details of it all at the end of CASINO ROYALE (the information that was disclosed in Vesper's note is given to us), but some ends are left untied so it can segue into a sequel.Well I think it's crucial that people learn about Vesper at the end of CASINO ROYALE. 2 years would be a long time to hold over a cliffhanger issue that has so much importance behind it. It's correct to keep it in the same style as was in the book. It ties up all the loose ends nicely at the end of the movie.

If Eva Green spilled the beans then she can... no, I can't go on.
I don't think it such a major spoiler. The whole movie can't be EG's digital message. Not that I would mind if that were the case.

I'm coming round to the idea of a direct sequel, now
Took you this long? I was against it at first...for about five minutes! I love the idea, and think it's a great way to continue this reinvention of the series.

I like the idea of it continuing - one of the best things about a Bond movie was always
"James Bond will return"
There are so many ways this could pan out, and I am not fussed that all questions will be answered. Do we have to know all the answers? Much of the fun of reading a good book, or getting into a great movie, is the parts that appeal to us as an observer. It's our interpretation of those things unspoken, unwritten, that make it personal. Nothing is ever as it seems, and Bond getting further into the murky world of terrorism (of all types) makes me wriggle with anticipation. This ambiguous ending has left endless possibilities, and it will be up to Eon to decided which door he kicks open first.
If I really loved someone and had to keep a REALLY BIG SECRET from them, and knew my death could be imminent, I think I'd want to leave something to explain my situation. Hurting the one you love by betraying them, is as low as you can go, and even though it's over when it's over, one would like to think that it was true love, that transcends all - even death and betrayal. Vesper made the ultimate sacrifice for love, it would be horrible to think that was all in vain, no matter his last remark (in the book). He didn't really mean it...

Here's the plot for 22, according to IMDb:
"A group of people, from the previous Bond film, "Casino Royale," whom are to believe that they are led by Le Chiffre."
Uhhhh...people whom are to believe...?

Extraordinary. This is very Bourne, innit?
Personally, I prefer my Bond films rather more self-contained. Oh, well....
But again, applause for mixing up the formula....
I like my Bonds self-contained as well, but, just as I never really felt like there was any propert closure to Tracy's death from OHMSS, I do see the need to continue a bit after CR. Regarding Tracy's death, true, there was some type of bizarre hunt for Blofeld at the start of DAF (the worst PTS in Bond history IMO), and Moore laments for Tracy at her grave and at the mention of her in TSWLM, but did anyone else ever feel like that particular story needed more follow up?
Well, in the case of Bond 22, I think there needs to be something to continue 21 - though I'd still like 22 to be relatively self-contained. We all know of course there will be some continuation, I guess this just sheds some light on what that continuation may involve.
