Well I've noticed a few small tweaks in dialogue which I consider to be improvements. Can't remember them off the top of my head, and I'm having a few problems with the trailer at the moment, but I'll post them at a later date!

Well I knew they were going to [censored] up the Aston, but not that bad. Geez. It's not the amazing stunt, it's that they totalled an Aston in that manner. Not a quick explosion or something.. just it breaking up like crazy in a barrel roll. Very awesome. Makes a good ending to it all too.

Bond comforts Vesper in a shower? Wow that is not the sort of Bond-Girl interaction that one expects!

Yes, (and even though I was against having a car yet again in a Bond film) I'm pretty pleased with what the trailer has shown so far here.

It's not that THEY crashed the Aston, or that's it not THAT great of a stunt, but the shock value is that BOND ACTUALLY FULL ON CRASHED A CAR, BY HIMSLEF.

And since we can talk about spoliers here, you know that the carpet-beater is going to make an appearence in the next scene. :)

Other spoliers, stromberg has posted a few new pictures in the non-spolier thread about the trailer; they're on page 3 of the thread. Take a look at the 3rd picture. Mr. White isn't wearing gold-trimmed sunglasses like in the script.

And what's really cool about the trailer, it even comfuses the people who have read the book, like, what is up with the building in what is clearly Venice falling down? It seems like Vesper is trapped in an elevator in that building.

Maybe she destroyes it herself? A cover for her suicied? And Bond looks like he is still trying to rescue her, like he doesn't know that she was a traitor. Maybe he fails saving her, cries like a 5-year-old girl, then finds out she was a trator. Huh. Hmm...

I can't wait to see how that black and white section is in the movie, especially the part where Craig shoots the second guy...

I rolled a car of mine five times back in 1997 - and walked away with only some minor scars.

Though it wasn't an Aston Martin.... :)

My girlfriend is a car fanatic and I know she is going to not like seeing that happen to an Aston Martin. Her main gripe about the movies that we've ewatched so far (we are up to A View to a Kill is that they keep destroying all these beautiful cars.

We're finally going to get a short teaser sequence. Thank god! I was getting tired of the "short film" aspect the teasers took on in the Brosnan films.

Ditto. The Brosnan ones were I believe almost 12-16 minutes. I'm hoping that Casino's is no longer than 7 or 8 minutes. 9 minutes and 59 seconds I'll stand for, but there's really no reason to go into double didgets.

Well, it covers about 4 pages. So if we go by the old Hollywood rule of one page equaling one minute of screentime. Well, we're looking at a four minute teaser. Five tops.

From the look of things they really expanded on the action scenes especially Venice. In the script it pretty much was just Bond vs. Gettler but now it looks like there are all kinds of henchmen Bond has to face. Did anyone eles notice that the bus in the MIA sequence is actually carrying passangers when it is hit and explodes! I always thought it was just an empty bus driving across the tarmac but they put passengers on it so it looks like some innocent bystanders will bite it in the sequence which I think would be a hell of alot worse than blowing up an empty prototype jetliner!

In the trailer the guy says "Don't worry, the second is..." Then Bond shoots him and says "yes, considerably." Can anyone who's read the script confirm if the guy finishes what he says. As it is in the trailer it doesn't make a lot of sense even if we know what is meant. Wouldn't it be rather rude for Bond to kill him before he finishes his sentence. :)

He doesn't finish it. If he were to finish I'd say he was trying to say "the second isn't as bad as the first".

Indeed yes, there's quite a few shots from the Venice sequence in this trailer, and apparently quite a few henchmen (in addition to the Tall Man we already know of). We can see the inflatable supports for the building as described. Also, at 1:51, we can see part of the extended gun battle in Venice as Bond runs through some pillars. All looks excellent :)

I've now gathered together all the dialogue from the trailer, and think it would be best to post here. There are a few tweaks as I've mentioned, and it's probable that certain phrases from the movie have been put together merely for the purpose of the trailer. I've no complaints about any of it though. It seems like it's been tidied up to run smoother. Anyone who's read the script will be able to notice the changes too I imagine. Here's the dialogue:

Dryden: Your file shows no kills, but to become a Double-O it takes

Yes, I'm glad to expanded on it, that means a few suprises for us who have been spoiled! :P The thing that really caught my attention was the building sinking into the canal. I was wondering how they were going to pull that off and was a little worried how it might wind up looking but the few seconds we saw look fantastic! It almost makes me think they really did sink a building into the grand canal. It's doesn't look like CGI although maybe a composite shot or a model. Either way they scored on that one. :)

Can anybody who's read the script say what preceded Bond saying "Yes, considerably" to at the beginning? That's the only thing that didn't really make sense for me seeing the trailer.

Dryden asks Bond "How did he died?"

Bond asks "Your contact?"

Dryden nods

Bond says "Not well."

Dryden then says, "You needed worry, the second is..."

he's cut off when Bond shoots him."

Bond thinks about it for a moment and then says "Yes, considerably."

I thought that he was probably 'perspiring' from his torture of Bond.

Does anybody know anything more about the airport scene yet? Given the two, three seconds of it we see in the teaser, it looks like it could be pretty good as far as action scenes go.

One thing is interesting and I wondered if they would go for it (and they didn't), but I seem to remember that in the script Vesper is not tied up when she's in the street. She's just there and as the Aston approaches she just sits up on one arm all calm and cool. It's all sort of alarming in a different weird way, and our first flash that Vesper might not be what she appears. Or is she just in shock? There's an ambiguity to the moment that is sort of cool.

But with her tied up, no ambiguity at all. And maybe this is better. Maybe the other way tipped her hand too early. Still, I wonder if they tried it the other way?
