Today I've been to the "V-Force" flight crew re-union at Newark Air Museum. I'm not an ex Vulcan crew member myself - only a member of the Air Museum mentioned - but I've been in the company of people who flew the Avro Vulcan and the other RAF V-bomber aircraft, the Valiant and the Victor. A great day out.

So, I think it would have to be Thunderball. A pity about what happens to the "tin triangle" and its fictional flight crew though.

Goldfinger. That's next on the list, because I usually watch them through in order (but not always).

Truthfully though, I FEEL like watching FYEO.

I want to try DAF, but I know I'll be disappointed. With all the talk of Lazenby doing the film; the reality is a poor substitute; the first real Connery parody.

So OHMSS it is then

Give DAF a try, Volante. I was skeptical, too, but I revisited it recently with low expectations and was nicely entertained. Seeing Blofeld in drag may send gin & tonic through your nose like it did mine. It's like hanging out with a boozy, Vegas hooker. Get in, enjoy it, leave quickly and try not to feel too guilty about having a smile on your face.

I'm with Eric. DAF has that cool psychadelic feel. It's a fun film and worth watching.

Agreed. DAF is one of the most rewatchable and fun Bond films, but its fatal flaw is how bad of a follow up it is to OHMSS. If the movie had come later down the line, it would probably be higher regarded than it is now by fans and critics alike.

Having recently seen Dr No and FRWL on Channel 7 here in Australia, I am in the mood for Goldfinger.

I tried TLD recently, not having seen it since its theatrical release. While it starts strong I really didn't like the film. The production looks cheap and the villains didn't work for me. Of course it's a gem compared to Octopussy which I also revisited recently.

Sorry to read you didn't like them, ES. The Living Daylights and Octopussy are my 2 favorite 1980s/John Glen-directed Bond films. Both feature John Barry scores, Cold War-era plot and atmosphere, 2 co-villains(one a renegade Soviet general, the other an independent profiteer looking out for himself and living in a palace) and the 2 most believable Bond/Bond girl combos in both Dalton/d'Abo and Moore/Adams.

I need a sure thing to get me back on track...it'll be QOS for me next.

That would probably be the least sure one I'd pick to get me back on track but to each his own.

After having just watched You Only Live Twice in widescreen HDTV, I'm now in the mood for The Spy Who Loved Me which I've been meaning to watch in honor of Caroline Munro's 60th birthday in January but hadn't gotten to it yet.

I actually watched it a week ago, it was very good(what a surprise!). I think Red Grant is the best henchman of them all, hands down.

Funny enough I had a CR and QOS double bill there myself this week.

Currently, I seem to be having the munchies for Dr No and maybe From Russia With Love.
