After eight 'well dones', is a ninth really required?

Well, absolutely.

Aside from whatever treatment is being given to the account on this site, it really should be included in some CR related piece of merchandise. Maybe the spoilers can then be included and real names be sourced to lend documented accuracy.

Certainly, aside from your evident joy in putting it together, it more than admirably demonstrates the good working atmosphere of a Bond set - something, in light of the fractious relationships ref Brosnon and maybe others, they would possibly wish to promote.

Anyway, good luck with all that you intend to do.

I loved it Ernie, great, nay, fantastic job writing such a memorable story from the set of CR. Hope to keep reading your delightful posts on all things Bond in the future! :)

Just wanted to put my two cents in regarding your story, Erniecureo. Thanks for letting us know about it. It was very interesting and entertaining throughout. Good job. We're all jealous and happy for you at the same time. We're looking forward to seeing you up on the big screen in November. Good luck in your future endeavors and thanks again for sharing with us, you lucky dog you. :)

I can just approve, it was wonderful to read and I would really be happy if you're in the final movie, because I was so in your situation, as I read your report, thank you.
You should begin with writing, a thriller would be perfect with your sense of thrill. And I'm sure everyone here would buy your book. :)

It'd be an interesting change from the usual official making of movies books.

I have a query after reading the new blog on the official website Salon Prive. It says interior of the casino were shot at Barandov, yet your extra work and casino interiors were shot at Karlovy Vary. How come there is a change in location for the two different scenes, is it the same casino?

The room where Bond plays the big game (the Salon Prive) is in the studio, the rest of the casino, inside and out, is on location.

If you look at the set here:-
Casino Royale Set Tour

You will see that it only contains one table, its like a VIP room. All the other tables, where the ordinary games take place, are elsewhere in the casino, as erniecureo's photos show.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks, Shrublands. Couldn't have said it better myself! :P I also thought the bit about the background painting of the Hotel Splendide was interesting...maybe I should ask them if I could have it, to help when I'm missing the Czech Republic...

Hey, I've just seen the trailer. Unbelievable--it looks fantastic. And seeing my ugly mug in there was just icing on the cake. Thanks for all your comments here and on the "New Trailer" thread--if positive thinking can change things, then all of your support basically guaranteed I'd make it into the film! :P

So thanks again, and special thanks to Thanasis and Binyamin for the PMs.

By the way--I told you Craig was awesome! :)

I'm so jazzed, I can barely see straight. Thanks again, everyone!

For those who missed it, here he is, from the trailer:

http://i25.photobuck...raker/ernie.jpg

That's him, right hand side under the green light. Minute 1:21 on the trailer.

Can't wait to see the final film, and congrats again sir on making the cut!

Ernie,
After reading your posts day to day, I (and I'm sure others on this board) feel like we really know you. It is quite exciting to see "someone you know" in the trailer for a Bond movie. I hope we get more screentime from you in November.

So do I, we'll all be concentrating on Grant and not the movie! :) Congrats again Grant, job well done. I hope we can get you to write a long post again in the future, CBn's star writer!

Hey, I just saw the new trailer and kept slowing it and stopping it not on Craig (OMG what's wrong with me?!? LOL!) but on the casino sequences to tr and spot you. And I DID! So of course I rushed over here and (also of course) the rest of the world is way ahead of me, but I want to throw in my congratulations anyway. How utterly cool! :P Way to GO! :)

EC,

My immense thanks and appreciation to you for sharing your story. You are truly a wonderful and brilliant storyteller! I look forward to reading your work in other medias. As a bit of a closet writer myself and having been an extra (albeit one time only many years ago), I have quite the fondness for your posts. I hope one day to follow in your footsteps.

Best of luck to you!

See (Read) you around the forum,
Legend
