This really doesnt feel like a typical Bondian action scene, which I think is the effect they were going for. During the Brosnan era they wanted to try everything they could to hit home the fact that we were watching Bond films. This time out, they're dispensing with the spoon feeding and letting us live it!
Ok, that might have been a tad bit cheesy, but so what! It's going to be that great of a sequence.

I quite honestly feel it blows all of Brosnan's action sequences away (not that it's his fault mind you). The last time something this intense was shown in a Bond film was the tanker chase in LTK.

I share those sentiments. The thing I like is the set up too. It's dosen't feel akward or there just for the sake of action. This sequence is key to the plot. It reminds me of Bond films in the past. I love the way they have Bond actually doing some coak and dagger spy stuff when he tails Dimitrios to the exhibit and also the suspenseful sequence where Bond tails Carlos through MIA before we get to the action on the tarmac.

Top Gear this week was quite good for this sequence: the DC6's were very visible in many shots, as were the lamps and there was a very decent shot of the Boeing with it's modifications very clear.
Was anything revealed or have you heard about anything involving the "explosions" in the sequence? There was someone who lives near Dunsfold that said no explosions where heard. Still that wouldn't mean they never happened. I remember when they were filming Pearl Harbour seeing some spectacular pyrotechnic explosions of the boats blowing up but hardly heard a pop and I was about 3 miles away. Anyway about Top Gear, is there any chance of this footage making it's way online?

As for Top Gear being online- well the whole show is at the official site at bbc.co.uk/topgear but I'm afraid you have to be in the UK to view it! I'll try and get some screen caps tomorrow.

Keep a close eye out for a new Bond car! Yes, they were road-testing, amoungst others, the Mondeo ST220 which appears in Casino Royale (rarer than an Aston Martin DB9, believe it or not!). I'm afraid these weren't the most beautiful cars they've ever tested!

Not yet, no. They showed the little trailer-ette of bits and bobs but not the feature. The series ends next week so if it's not on that (and there's no sign of it being there) I wouldn't have thought they'll show it until the film is released.
Thanks sir.
And thanks for the caps - sharp eyes!

Thanks Agent Spriggan Ominae! Great find! WOW is the right expression...
That should go to Danfan2 who first uncovered this article. This is indeed a great find and hought I should post it here also. This is kind of like the official MIA thread on cb.n afterall.
