That skybar in Bankok looks swesome
Yes, it does. I've been to Bangkok, and it's certainly a place of contrasts. The streets right down at the bottom of the skybar will have potholes and rubbish strewn around. Same with Kuala Lumpur. Huge skyscrapers tower over slums.

Portofino , Italy
Definitely. Recently, I've been thinking about the French Polynesia and the French Guiana (the scattered ruins of the ancient penal colony on Devil's Island are quite a sight. Good scenario for a fight, or a criminal's lair, the place for a hidden cache of something, you name it).

I am actually more keen on the idea of travelogues like in the movies Dr. No and From Russian with Love: In Dr. No Bond really only went to Jamaica and nowhere else, and in FRWL he traveled to the border of Turkey and USSR, (which when you think of it, is not in itself at that spot, a very travely place to go. He saw some gypsies fighting there, and a lot of action took place underground looking through telescopes at people's feet. I actually like that, even though I do like travel scenery in the 007 series. I just think it should meld into the movies well.
I am more interested in seeing a movie with Bond traveling to a couple or a few places that -are connected, nearby each other, than like in Moonraker, where he went to California I think it was, then Venice, then Rio, and then -SPACE lol. DIamonds are Forever is somewhat similar: South Africa, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, oil rig off California coast. These seem kind of strung together willy nilly.
I say pick a couple decent enough places, and even places that he's been to once or twice is fine, and meld it well into a good plot.
I do say Barcelona has a unique scenery to it with its spiral architecture, but it doesn't play heavily in current world affairs. But a good storyline could fix that.
Rome is not a bad idea, I say.
And since Brussels is the capital of Europe, I think it might be a decent pick for locale.

Yeah, but I was wondering while I was posting those pix whether one would tower over all the pollution as well. That skybar in Bankok looks swesome

A setting that is both menacing and luxurious.

It's been a little bit since Bond got some IS time hasn't it?
A swing by the Biltmore Estate would be nice to see too.
Bond can't go to Hawaii. I'd be too anxious waiting for Locke to pop out of a hatch.

Otherwise, why not have him enjoying some of the English countryside. Not far from this lake in North West England (not Scotland), there is an RAF base and a lot of low flying RAF planes.
