Australia or Canada would be nice too since they have not been there yet.
Oh, I see Agent 76 had already suggested the Greek islands almost a year ago to the day!

Send Bond to Australia !!!! Bring him to Melbourne to deal with crooked bookmakers at the Melbourne Cup financing an evil genius.
James Bond at the Melbourne Cup is a classic waiting to be made.
It's such a wonderful setting for Bond. It allows Bond to mix with high society types. It allows him to gamble. There is a carnival atmosphere. It shows off the customs of the local population - the Melbourne Cup is embraced by all levels of society.
And I believe it provides a great plot point. A group of bookmakers have a sting on that's going to finance a major villain.
Australia is more than just a country - it's a continent. You can have travel-hopping while staying in the same country. From the beaches to the outback there's ample variety.
I like it when Bond stays in one country for the majority of a film - it allows the place to become another character and not just the latest in a long line of exotic backdrops.
Cheers.

Bond hasn`t been to Rome or mainland Greece. I could see a shootout/action sequence at both the Colusseium and the Acropolis, two outstanding landmarks that would be instantly recognisable to moviegoers around the world.
Great obvious choice, if the producers are planning a Colonel Sun-related story. Part of that novel takes place at those two locales.

How about Bamburgh Castle in the North East, for a climactic battle?
See photo.

As a backdrop yes, but i doubt government permission would be given to film inside these monuments. After all these are protected antiquities and the possibility of damage would be too great to allow a huge film crew access.

I think it would be great to see Bond back in Jamaica. I know it's been done before but it's been so long, and I'd be interested to see how they make the place look.
It'd be cool if they could use Goldeneye (the house) in there.

Antartica is certainly a location that would lend itself to some unusual scenery.
Indeed, melting ice caps and lack of polar bears.

How about Bond on an iceberg? A film crew actually landed a reporter on a small iceberg by helicopter. He had to leave quickly as it was very unstable. Pretty cool stunt though.

I'd certainly like to see Daniel Craig in Asia at some stage of his Bond career. I can picture him there for sure; if not in BOND 22 then definitely in BOND 23.Looks like Italy will feature in Bond 22, and so I would like to see Bond in Russia and Africa in Bond 23.

I've also been thinking it would be nice to see a Bond film be entirely contained in Europe, something that takes him to every corner of the continent.
And as for the Canada, I have to say as someone who's lived just outside Vancouver all his life, I have to admit I think it's a better location than Toronto. Not a big fan of always seeing Vancouver on film, cause most movies that are filmed here are garbage, but Bond could do something cool up here. I can already see him doing something cool on the Lion's Gate Bridge (Pic) or at Canada Place (Pic). But just for a one scene, PTS sorta way, not staying there for an hour.

I've given up on hoping to see a Bond movie come to Australia. EON have promised to do it for years but they never seem to quite make it here. Instead we got Tom Cruise and John Woo with his annoying slow-motion camera for the very ordinary Mission Impossible 2.
I knew they filmed in Sydney but I've never seen MI2 - do they have a fight on top of the Harbour Bridge?

Not that I can recall DaveBond121, but I haven't watched the film in seven years since seeing it at the cinema. I remember a sequence at Randwick Racecourse (I used to live around the corner from there) and I think something involving the Opera House. Every fight and chase scene took forever because they were all in slow-motion!
Having said that, I quite enjoyed the first Mission Impossible and I really liked Mission Impossible 3.

Thanks for the info. So it seems that a future battle on top, or under (on boats) the Sydney Harbour Bridge is not out of the question.
