I think that GS is being a little silly - his comments stick out like a sore thumb. They go beyond honesty, and more towards stubbornness. His relentless bashing became almost comical as I read the review: "okay, they all seem pretty enthusiastic about that, now lets hear the cynicism". But it didn't put me off - I'm very excited, this Miami sequence is sounding amazing, and I don't even know anything about it!
I'm relieved. I've never agreed with a single post he's made. And the others seem to really like it. Gives me hope!

She says the odd word - but it really isn't that bad. Felix seems to have been added in a later draft - though, if you note - there is a CIA guy in the Casino.
I hope Felix's role is not limited to being the CIA agent in the December draft. That would give Felix even less to do than in Living Daylights! Plus it's a far cry from how he was used in the novel.

Not sure exactly where to post this, but in regards to all the theories that had been put forward in the previous pages of this thread with reference to the villains and particularly the ending of the movie, I thought it may be quite interesting to note that there is no actor to represent Gettler listed on the official cast list on the website. Maybe significant?
Maybe he's been replaced by Schultz.
Then again, we only recently found out who's playing White, the cast list could still be incomplete.

Yes - that's certainly possible, I admit. Maybe adding some mystery around this last remaining character.Maybe he's been replaced by Schultz.

On the subject of Schultz, as I understand it, this is the same character referred to as the "Fat German" in the script draft. I suppose Schultz is more politically correct as a name!

For instance, they've retained the names Gettler and Tomelli amongst more obvious others. On a more obscure note, Monsieur Versoix, who owns the hotel at the end of the novel, lost his arm fighting in Madagascar. Perhaps this may have influenced the choice of that particular country as a location...perhaps not though...

I was also interested to see, that in reality, the World Bank Country Director for Madagascar is named

Isn't it obvious? MI6 set up this website, and all websites concerning the World Bank in Madagascar to put Bond's enemy's off
Now I see.
