zencat,

very glad to hear (read) that.

my parents were out for a visit recently and it was great fun playing Bond monopoly with my dad, who introduced me to the franchise many years ago. It's a family tradition to see the new Bond movies with my grandfather, father and brother. Very excited for CR!

Having purchased the Alfred Hitchcock CLUE game for myself and the Spiderman Monopoly for my son, I can only say I plan on waiting for this specialty board game to come down in price.

I am not satisfied with the look of the game after seeing how the makers created better looking board games with the Star Wars crowd.

How many of us would have liked the game board to have Piz Gloria, Blofeld's volcano, Fort Knox, Spectre Island, Crab Key, Disco Volante, The Whyte House, Scaramanga's Island, Atlantis, Drax's Space Station, Zorin's Mine, etc.

How about the Orient Express, Stromberg's monorail, Octopussy's Train, and the bullet train in Casino Royale for the railroads.

Water Works could have been Zorin's Pumping Station.
Electric Company could have been Carver's Media Company.

Income Tax could have been Extortion.

The Star Wars buildings looked just like the ones from the films. It would have been so cool to have the houses look like warehouses and the hotels would have been mountain hideouts or skyscrapers

Sorry, I wasn't aware of Licence To Post who asked for ideas, nor did he even contact mine or other websites to anyone's knowledge. Monopoly blew it and I refuse to buy it now unless I can get it for free, or wait awhile and get it for $5 on ebay in another year.

*** After submitting this post, I noticed that Licence To Post was logged in and obviously read my complaint. With all due respect, I cannot believe for a second that Eon has placed so many restrictions that the property could not represent actual locations from the Eon films. You may be a big fan, but your company did not make this boardgame memorable for the fans. Like so many problems with corporations today, I blame your management for the poor decisions and I hope you show them this post. ***

I hear what everyone is saying about Monopoly and concur at several points. Here's a quesiton, apart from the video games, what games for Bond are or have been available? Which one(s) are the most fun?

Regards

Currently the SCENE IT game is good fun in the Trivial Pursuit vain. As for older games, I enjoyed the old Milton Bradley games such as James Bond or Thunderball. I am trying to get a decent version of the 'Message From'M' game.

I've been wondering about that SCENE IT game - how long would it last before it is all played out? Anyone have any idea? I've not purchased any of the SCENE IT games figuring that after a while you would have seen every clip. How many clips/hours of footage/hours of game play is there?

Regards

Well, if it's the game play you are looking for you may not get to that point. Most Bond fans would know all of the answers since the trivia is geared towards those who are only slightly familier with the films.

I was just looking at all the various Monopoly games out in the market. From US Navy to Washington DC. From Snowboarding to the Washington Redskins.

But perhaps the most unique one I have seen yet is the Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer version. Based on the 1964 classic children's special.

What's worse about this is that that game looks more interesting than the Bond version. You can check these out on eBay.
