How about one of the Gardner or Benson novels as a property. Scorpius, or better yet, property of a lady.
I don't think that would fit in since all the rest are movies.
Why not call the extra space "James Bond Jr." after the TV show?

i like the gardner novels as well...but even with some of the flemming stuff there are licensing issues that just make good ideas impossible...
thanks for the comments!

Also if I could work something out with the owner(s) of the site would you guys be interested in a contest of some sort for some free games as prizes...something just for members of this forum?
We would love to be able to offer something to the members of CBn regarding this game. Thank you. Will contact you privately.

So will the "property" that goes with each film feature a location from that film? (i.e. Piz Gloria for the OHMSS square) That would be very nice.
Any idea when this game is scheduled to come out?
Thanks!

But since you seem to want to stay with 22.... why not call it "The Film Rights", it would sort of fit in with the films, or "Bond 22 - James Bond will Return".

However, it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing result. I am, wondering whether a mix of book and film titles will cover this off. This way, there will always be more than enough titles to go round.
Would the Eon ownership/right of the titles allow for a useage on the game? Somehow, I am guessing not since there will probably be no payment to Benson or Gardener for these.
As to whether 'Double 0 Agent' etc will be confusing to players for ensuing titles, I guess only time will tell whether it is picked up as the Next Big Rumour for Bond 22, although I think it will.
So, Mission 22 then!

OK, so its not made by EON, but it IS a Jams Bond film and far from the worst.
Time, surely, to bring it into the fold properly, even if it is just in a game and to make up #22.

What if they're so far ahead on the story of the next film, maybe the time the game turns up in Woolies, there will already be a title.
Case closed.

I am now saddened to see the official notice concerning the properties is film titles and not locations. No disrepect to Licence to Post, but being a lead designer on this project: are you also a fan? Are you giving the fans what they would want in a game? Practically every other edition of Monopoly uses locations as the properties (I've not seen what the dog and cat editions use, hence the "practically"). Perhaps I am the minority here, but so far, this game does not look terribly appealing. The box is using the same tired and generic 007 packaging that the race sets and corgi reissues and other toys have been using since 2002. If the properties MUST be film titles, why not a nice collage of poster art on the box?
I would much rather see locations adorn the property spaces than film titles. (Much more interesting to buy Fort Knox and a Hollowed volcano than Dr No and FRWL). I am hoping, since I have not seen word on the cards: that whatever is passing for chance and community chest, has some great and relevant Bond trivia to the cards. I do like the tokens.
As the news article said, this has been something fans have been clamoring for---please do not dissapoint us.

But if it has to be movie titles, and you're not going with the Sony-owned NSNA, then I can think of nothing more valuable to a Bond fan than information on whatever movie is coming NEXT. The end of every film has that tag of "James Bond Will Return." If each square is spotlighting poster art, then here is the place to use the trite Bond silhouette and a stylized title of "Bond 22".
Why Dr. No at Boardwalk? It's not like it's the crown jewel of the films, just the first. Why not Casino Royale, reverse order, since that's the reason for the game issue? Or mix them up - in terms of film production cost? box office gross? exciting versus boring posters? What makes FRWL more expensive to purchase than DAD? Location properties would have more of a sense of this.

Strangways, your points are echoing what I am saying--this has the potential to be great, but instead, I predict here and now, this will be quite lame. Of course, I would love to be proven wrong but somehow don't think I will. I think the "design team" (and no offense meant here, either) are simply designing Monopoly with the same cookie cutter style that Star Wars, Various sports from teams to NASCAR and all the other assorted --opolies that are currently out there.

Well, that takes care of the "properties" (save the Railroads or perhpas just 4 modes of transport---Armored train, fleet of helicopters, stealth ship and/or disco Volante, chinese junk, etc etc) now, if everyone would contribute one CHANCE or COMMUNITY CHEST card (or whatever 007-opoly will call them, we might have something going here. And to get the ball rolling. . .

How about Blayden Safe House for Free Parking? "Pick Up the Tab" for Luxury Tax? OddJob frying on Electric Company, and Anya and Bond escaping Atlantis for Waterworks? Instead of Community Chest and Chance, how about MI6 and... well, can't do SPECTRE anymore... Does the organization in CR have a cool acronym? That could be the tie-in part.

Hello all...as you can see this is my first post....and i'm not here to shill a game...just would love input from the fans/experts...
I'm lead designer on the first official James Bond Monopoly game and have an issue that I'd like to throw at you. I'm a lifelong fan of the franchise and having a lot of fun working on this title. I'm doing everything I can to get as much imagery and characters into the game.
After going back and forth with the folks at EON we've decided to make the 22 game board properties the films...problem..even with Casino Royale coming out this year that adds up to only 21...(never say never again is technically not in the EON owned bond universe...and neither is the original Casino Royale)
the board will have Dr. No at (boardwalk) and desend in order of release...leaving the first property empty at this point...the leading idea is to have it titled something to the effect of (Double-0 Agent) or something to signify ones status as a Double-0 Agent and for a visual perhaps show a PPK, Passport, Manila folder with "For Your Eyes Only".
Why not use the estate of "IAN FLEMING'S GOLDENEYE"? (Thought it should be the "Boardwalk" of the game)
Do you think that would be confusing to game players...as if thats the title of the 22nd film?
Also if I could work something out with the owner(s) of the site would you guys be interested in a contest of some sort for some free games as prizes...something just for members of this forum?
Thats all for now...
