As for some of the Brozza comments in here, I know he is not liked by many but the man did get hurt just as severely, probably more so, than this. The TND cut on his lip is a deep scar that is still visible today. I believe they had to stop filming because of it. Let's at least give the man some credit.

We've heard in the past from Sir Michael Gambon, that when he was approached after Connery left for the first time, he was offered dental work.
Therefore, hurt by accusations that they've cast an uglier man than Pierce Brosnan, to cover up the fact that they've insisted on his having his teeth ameliorated to make him marginally more attractive, a story is concocted by Eon that a ) makes Mr Craig look dead hard and b ) seeks to offset any comment once the film is released to the effect of "oh, look - he's had his teeth done!"
Perhaps that's a little over-devious.
Or maybe it is just the Mirror Group being its usual idiotic self. On that, this psychopathic hatred of the Craig tenure is odd - it's not as if it's (say) a News Corporation paper that has a vested interest in attacking anything not C20 Fox produced.

Indeed. This is their flippin' front page story! A minor (and no disrespect to Craig, or intention to minimise his suffering, I'm sure it was very painful, etc.) accident on the set of a Hollywood film, and it absolutely dominates the front page of one of Britain's biggest-selling tabloids!
I mean, when Brosnan did his knee in on DIE ANOTHER DAY, was it front page news?
So I guess a horrifyingly scathing review of CASINO ROYALE, with a headline like "GOODBYE MR BOND - Crummy Craig destroys 007 series in his first awful film", will be the Mirror's front page at some point in November. The mind boggles.

As to the injury...who knows how serious it really was? Remember when Halle Berry got something in her eye on DAD? The UK press was screaming about how Halle was "blinded", how her eyeball flew across the set, landed in a grip's soup and was then devoured. Stuff like this...you just don't know. But it sounds like he maybe took a pretty good whack.

Wow, what a nasty article. And all this because Craig wouldn't answer that cow's questions at the press conference.
Eh? It's been a while since I've watched the press conference. Could you elaborate on this zencat?

Wasn't it the reporter from the Mirror who asked Craig three times about the Sienna Miller "scandal" and Craig, rightfully, blew her off three times? They have been ripping on Craig ever since.Eh? It's been a while since I've watched the press conference. Could you elaborate on this zencat?

Will bring a new meaning now to Bond's statement to Domino: "Just wait till you get to my teeth!"
"They're over there, under my pillow".

Cause he took one in the mouth in an action scene where they were trying to focus on realism? I've always had a hunch that the fight scenes were gonna be filmed different or take on a look that is different from some of the past Bond's. I'm sure the work is much more physical than what 52 year old Brosnan would have been given.
Plus the cameraman said it was a terrific piece of acting, so we have a hint on the quality of Dan Craig as bond

The Mirror Group are so obviously riding an anti-Craig agenda. Nasty. You can understand why some actors would stay clear of Bond to avoid the tabloid intrusion. Maybe the Mirror Group is still sympathetic to Brosnan. Anyway, some of the press were gunning for Dalton too. Something will need to be done about this. This is the type of publicity Eon probably do not want. It is unBondian!
It'll be a different story come November. Newspapers/ magazines with prominent coverage of a new Bond film get better than average sales figures in the UK, and the Mirror won't want to miss out on that. Expect them to be very pro-Craig/ Casino Royale around the time of the premier.

Facing death everyday
Is a tough job for any man

He even did an impression of Daniel Craig saying "The name's Bond. James Bond" with no teeth!

I REALLY hope you're right about that, because I find articles like this really worrying. Its basically an attack on Craig, and it really seems like this is the angle being taken by many in the media. They WANT this film to fail it seems to me. The funny thing is, if you watch Layer Cake, or see any photos of him with his shirt off... he looks to me like the first genuinely hard looking Bond. Its the one thing I thought Brosnan failed at pulling off, he never seemed intimidating to me. But I wouldnt mess with Craig. And yet... the press are selling the opposite.
I get annoyed when people make so much of that comment Craig made about the speedboat and "thanks for scaring the

I just hope the film, and the first trailer, emphasises that he is hard, Jason Bourne hard (though without the choreographed fighting technique I guess).

good luck with your career from now on mr brosnan.Pierce Brosnan was on Sky News earlier, joking about it.

I guess that makes Robert De Niro a failure as a tough guy, too, since he had his nose broken by Robin Williams of all people on the set of AWAKENINGS.

Well, Eon have not exactly gone out of their way to counter this type of negative publicity. Their PR to date on Casino Royale has been very poor. One example, why didn't they present the cast at the press conference in Prague? What a missed opportunity that was. Fortunately, Eon have enough time to recover, but they need to up their act big time.
As for Daniel Craig losing two teeth. It's unfortunate, but it goes with the territory. As far as I know, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan have all been injured on a Bond set. Craig is still fit for duty and that's all that really matters.

Is this real, or did you just happened to have a funny picture of Brosnan lying around? If it is real, its unfortunate. Did you catch anything else he said?

I don't think Craig's casual dress sense is helping matters. Eon need to get out a few publicity stills of him is a suit and tie, preferably holding the Walther. Once the public see him 'in costume', as it were, they'll warm to him.
