Worrying stuff.

It is true, I think. My non-Bond loving housemate told me about this earlier today. Says he heard it on the radio.
Worrying stuff.
Hmm I dunno. When did this happen, exactly? His 'first fight scene' was a couple of weeks ago, so we're only now hearing about it? He looked fine at the press conference.

Assuming it is true, it doesn't need to be a worrying issue. It'll actually make for some pretty good press when doing publicity, as in - The new Bond is so tough he insisted on doing all the fights for real, and even lost a couple of teeth in the process!

Very hesitant to take this completely serious as it is the Sunday Mirror, but if so...

Teeth do not just grow back therefore this is a much bigger deal than any of Brosnan's injuries.
Yeah, but teeth get put back in all the time. With decent dental intervention it's not that big of a deal.

God, and look how Drudge has to put it:
"NEW BOND IS OW OW 7 /// New James Bond Daniel Craig has already failed to make the grade as tough guy - after villain knocked out two of his teeth in his FIRST fight scene! MORE..."

No, actually this is kind of a big deal. Dental implants don't always take. There could be some major dental work involved. Filming could be delayed. Craig could be swollen for awhile. They might have to do 2nd unit stuff. This is why they have stunt people!!

Well Drudge obviously just copied the Mirror headline and the link goes nowhere when you click it, so it seems to be just the Mirror claiming this, still. Again, when did this happen? His first fight scene was the first day of shooting, which was about two weeks ago now. I didn't see any missing teeth at the press conference. Something isn't adding up.
Lest we forget, The Mirror was the source of the infamous Final Four Bond candidates - Henry Cavill, Goran Visnjic, Alex O'Lachlan and...Ewan Stewart. We all know how that worked out

Basically its much ado about nothing...it says the incident happened at the beginning of the month when filming the embassy fight, obviously before the press conference, and he was looking and speaking just fine there. Most of the article is just rehashes of previous ones so the Mirror can take potshots at Craig. Most bizarre is this sentence :
"The Sunday Mirror revealed last year how Craig would be starring alongside stunning Thandie Newton"
Er yeah, Cheers, Sunday Mirror!

One begins to wonder if this is just anything more than the pressess attempts to make Craig seem like a whimp (first the boat, now this), and by doing so making it the exact opposite!
Yeah any actor who gets teeth knocked out for a fight scene deserves praise for going beyond the call of duty IMHO! At least he was IN the freakin' fight instead of sitting back and letting a stuntman take the blow. Brosnan complains "Ooh, me knee!" when filming DAD but he didn't get called a wuss. Craig is spitting BLOOD on day one as 007, now that's giving 110% for the role. He's shaping up to match Connery (and Lazenby) in terms of physicality.

It also could have been from the finale in Vienna, with an interior set in Prague doubling for that.
Thought you said it was

He may have been injured, but I doubt the damage was as bad as Drudge and the Sunday Mirror (hardly paragons of journalistic integrity) make it out to be.
We'll probably know soon enough.

Hmmm, this seems fishy to me. I doubt they'd have Craig doing any highly dangerous stunts, and we know that they've been filming for a few weeks, so this probably isn't his first fight scene.

Yes it is somewhat questionable, given that we just saw Craig at the press conference with no signs of injury or any speech problems whatsoever, and that this happened two weeks ago and nobody reported it until...The Mirror

I mean The Mirror still apparently think Thandie Newton is in this movie, so who knows what the hell's going on with them. For all we know, Craig might have caught a stray elbow in the face or something during one take, and the whole thing got blown out of proportion and got passed on, Chinese Whispers style, so by the time it got to the Mirror's desk, the story was that Craig was smashed in the face and blood and teeth went flying everywhere.
