Hmmm...So if Bond is taking a train to the casino location, when and how does the Aston Martin come in?

Here's another one for ya. If Bond is traveling to the casino on page 40, then what happens in the first 40 mins of this movie (the first act)? Will we see him plucked from the Royal Navy and trained maybe?Hmmm...So if Bond is taking a train to the casino location, when and how does the Aston Martin come in?

From the SAS, remember. This also ties into with the French James Bond Club rumor that there'd be an opening stunt with a jump out of a plane while Bond was in his pre-MI6 career. Here's another one for ya. Perhaps it went before him or MI6 has it waiting there for his disposal. If they are staying true to the orginal storyline from the novel then Bond is going to need a fast car in his chase after Vesper is abducted by Le Chiffre. Perhaps thoes rumors of the fiat panda were for the villians choice of wheels.

He steals it. Grand Theft Bond. Tell me... if you had Bond's skills, wouldn't you steal the new Aston Martin DBS too? Come on. Don't lie. You'd totally get away with it.
Possibilities:
1. He steals it Come on
2. He gets it from Mathis or from Station ? (F in the novel)
3. After fan outrage for Q being missing, Q is given a minor role where he shows up a la The Spy Who Loved Me with the car.
4. Purvis and Wade try and outdo Die Another Day by making Bond's new car transform into a... train. It's now a Transformer .
5. He steals it. Seriously now. It's a high-class casino. Consider a chase. Bond runs out.. out of the casino, comes to the first car he can find. The car is about to be shuttled away by a vallet. Bond pulls his gun out and says "Gimme yo ride, foo." The chase is on.
6. The train isn't going to the casino and thus allows Bond to make a pitstop.
7. The car just shows up without explanation: GoldenEye'd.

You know, I could see that happening. It could be a return to the Moore era of Bond. He had few quams about carjacking i.e TMWTGG, Octopussy, AVTAK(where he stole a taxi and a firetruck). I could just see it, Bond sees Le Chiffre's henchmen race off with Vesper as he leaves the casino. Just then some guy pulls up in the new DBS. Bond jumps in and gives chase leaving the owner behind all frantic and yelling, Whoa! Oh! My Car! Oh! Whoa! Oh no! My Car! Oh!

Or yeah, something to that effect. This is what I said. How often does he carjack someone? In a way, without the goofiness, this could be as cool as For Your Eyes Only's Citroen 2CV chase. Take that and blend it with The Rock where Nicholas Cage runs out of the San Fran hotel and gets a Ferrari to chase down Connery in a humvee (I'm only borrowing your HumVee!!).

This guy on IGN is the real deal. I trust him. Demetrius being a secondary villain is something I considered all along.I understand that, Harmsway...i'm wondering if it's true though, and if it is...what exactly the villian's role is!
This confirms what I belived all along. That the Ain't it cool scooper wasn't really cool.

I like the idea of Bond stealing an Aston Martin but I would rather see Q (John Cleese) show up and deliver the car to Bond. Since Q would be in the field it's possible we could see Q's lab at station M(?) or whatever Mathis' headquarters is called.
Considering that Bond will not be a 00 at the start of the film I wouldn't mind seeing him performing the gun barrel in his naval uniform as was suggested by a fellow board member. It would set his first screen appearance apart from the other actors and would recall a retro 1950s Fleming-esque feel.

But you know what I noticed? (book spoilers ahead).
Leiter was the one who gives Bond more money after he loses to Le Chiffre, not Vesper. I wonder what role the 'American Agent' will play in the film version?

Gosh- that makes me very excited for this film. It sounds great!
And 007 fresh out of the SAS, eh? Intriguing!
I agree....Everything in that article sounds great. It's been awhile since we have had a train scene in a Bond movie and they used to be a regular element of the series.
Also, very cool that this is a re-boot (as evidenced at the mention of him recently having left the SAS) - fantastic!

The SAS thing is interesting; no more or less a "change" than giving him a first in Oriental Languages.
The suicide bomber thing may (may) suggest there will be some sort of scene that validates an earlier report that the Bond people had bought the "normal street" set of a defunct soap opera and were going to blow it up.
Appetite whetted.

That reminds me of a scene in the novel. Could the three Bulgars from the novel (who were unwitting suicide bombers) now be agents of Le Chiffre who willingly blow themselves up in an attempt to kill Bond?

Ah! Could be could be could be.
Really interesting thought.

One thought I had was that the suicide attack may have something to do with the train. In the novel Bond first met Vesper in a cafe and as he left and walked back to his hotel he encountered the bombers. What if they updated it seeing as how Bond may have his first meeting with Vesper on a train so that the bombers are on board and they blow up a whole train car in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Bond that is not unlike the real life Madrid train bombings. Just a thought.

I feel a little bit better because I was very disappointed to see there was no official announcement from the Brocollis yesterday...I waited during the whole day !
All the more as I'm very happy to learn Le Chiffre's character is effectively present in the move. Casino Royale would not have been Casino Royale without this mythic villain !
With a third Bond Girl accompanying Caterina Murino (I saw her yesterday on French TV, she's really nice) and Rose Byrne as Vesper, that sounds really great. And I love the character's name of Bliss...

I hope that's in there. That was actually based on a true story. The same exact thing happened to Franz von Papen.

A poker game worth more than 10 millions. Really believable.
Suicide bombers. O man, nearly all do their for free without funding.
Vesper as another woman character with the balls and attitude of a man.
It is extremely disgusting to see the producers making money out of two popular subjects as suicide bombing and Texas Hold em when they can make a realistic plot by fixing holes in the Fleming one. They only made the plot holes bigger.
