Nice find, Zc.

Does anyone have a time travel pill I could take so I can avoid all the leaks and spoilers before CR opens?

Gosh- that makes me very excited for this film. It sounds great!

And 007 fresh out of the SAS, eh? Intriguing!

Sorry, but how good does:

The most refreshing and exciting aspect of these pages is that the storytellers clearly want this film to be about James Bond, first and foremost. This 007, apparently not long out of the SAS, is an arrogant, cocksure man whose ego and hubris will prove his undoing. Like Batman Begins, it explores the man behind the myth without losing what makes him so cool and iconic to begin with. If the final script is remotely like these few pages then Casino Royale should prove to be a relatively faithful adaptation of Ian Fleming's first novel and an insightful peek into the heart and psyche of 007.

sound exactly? This is going to be fantastic!

I like this bit:

The most refreshing and exciting aspect of these pages is that the storytellers clearly want this film to be about James Bond, first and foremost. That arrogant, cocksure Bond sounds great. And it's interesting to see that he's apparently not long out of the SAS - so apparently he's been an MI6 agent already. So not "the fresh young rookie" approach, but just the "first Double-O mission" approach.

Sounds like we may actually have a winner with CASINO ROYALE! God be praised!

No, it's not. However, the intake for the Special Air Service is open to any member of the British Armed Forces, i.e. the Royal Air Force (RAF), the British Army and the Royal Navy (RN).

SAS are considered the world's best elite fighting force.

Bond would belong...

I'm still thinking about the locations...

So, presumably, the spa town of Karlovy Vary is doubling Montenegro. The question that remains is, are The Bahamas doubling South Africa or playing themselves?

Okay.

I promised myself that this time I would not get my hopes up; that this time I would not expect more than another mediocre effort; that this time I would not set myself up for disappointment.

But, dammit, this is starting to sound good.

Is it just barely possible that we could find ourselves watching - not just a good Bond movie - but a good movie?

Deep, slow breaths...

I'm glad to see that this film is going to be a lot more faithful to the novel, which it wasn't looking like it was going to be by the other reports that are out there. All I can say is that I'm starting to get excited about this film again.

So if Bond is taking a train to the casino location, when and how does the Aston Martin come in?
