FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, POST SCANS NOW!
Just kidding. But you can if you want to
Sorry no scans, but I did take a few quick pictures of the book. I posted 5 pictures from the book on this site

Sorry that the quality is rather poor.

That bottom image of Craig/Bond in the tux is by far my favourite so far. I take it there are many good pictures such as this throughout?

Amazing how Craig can photograph incredibly badly or incredibly well; these look like they're in the latter catagory!

Is it just another book of pictures - or is there any Making of text accompanying?
It is mostly pictures. There is a small interview with DC at the end of the book.

Yeah, it's pretty much "just another book of pictures", and, frankly, I wish they'd gone the extra mile and included things like promotional shots and poster art (and extended interviews, news clippings, etc.), but it seems to be all Greg Williams.
It's just about a worthwhile purchase, although only for the truly hardcore (i.e. all of us ), and the price is certainly "a bit steep" for what it ends up offering.
What's striking about the book is that the choice of images is almost militantly "This is not 'just another Bond film'" - not that there were any of these things for Williams to shoot, of course, but there are absolutely no concessions to "casual fans" who grew up on space weapons and villains with steel teeth in Bond. I can picture "Joe Public" flicking through this book in a shop and thinking, This is the new Bond movie?
If this book is a fair reflection of what's actually onscreen, then CASINO ROYALE will indeed be stunningly "different". Still, how accurately did Williams' DIE ANOTHER DAY photobook end up capturing the tone of that film? Not very, I'd imagine.

Thanks for that.
Well, I suppose it has to be added to the collection, although I recently flicked through the 'Art of ...' in Waterstones and decided that 'more pictures' was what I didn't need. This will get through the criteria by being specific film related.
Guess I will really be looking forward the Thunderball expose book for hard facts.

However, if I do pick it up it will be in tandem with The Art of James Bond as Amazon has a pretty good deal when you buy both. I just think a book with nothing but a lot of photos, high quality photos I will admit, but ultimately many of which will be seen elsewhere, just doesn't sound as appealing when it goes against other Xmas type gifts such as the Ultimate Edition DVDs.
I'd much prefer a fan magazine such as Starlog or Titan used to put out. That way you get tons of quality pics and a lot of intereviews and behind the scenes stuff.

I really wanted to buy this book. But I couldn't justify shelling out 45 CAD for a book which is mostly just snap shots of the cast and crew during their 'down time'. There's not even that many pictures of Daniel Craig. I wanted more information (as has been mentioned above) on the whole kit and coboodle in regards to the making of the film and the cast. I've just had to contend with collecting articles on the making of the movie.
I'm like you. I looked at it today and while it is nice, i kept thinking "how often will i go back and look/read this - probably not very often". So i had to pass unless it dramatically drops in price.

So, no longer $35 but rather $17.50
Good enough of a drop I think

There is. His name is Pierce Brosnan.I for one would love to read a real "making of" book about this movie that tells us what really happened with Brosnan, the casting of Craig, the relationship between Sony/Eon, etc.
Me, too!
There's got to be some Eon fringe employee who'd find it worth burning the bridges with Eon...
Or his name may be Lazenby. The only way I can think of to do a tell-all would be with an actor, or actors, who have nothing to lose...who have stories to tell...and who are willing to tell the stories. This might rule out Brozza, who hopes to continue to work. Rog is probably too much of a gentleman. I dunno about Dalton. But Lazenby had some real issues and at this point he has nothing to lose. Connery's too old, rich and powerful to fear any reprisal.
What might work is a book of Goodbyes to Bond. Recollections of actors who've played the role and either said goodbye or been forced to say it. We could learn a lot about the making of Bond films in general, if not about CR. The good and the bad.
We're probably too close to CR to get anything other than studio puffery. I'd rather read nothing if I can't get some sort of balanced account.

If I might suggest for anyone who lives in the states, I would call your local Border's Bookstore. They have the book at the moment for half-price. I called mine last night and they are holding one for me.
So, no longer $35 but rather $17.50

Shame they didn't offer that sale price from the beginning.

Any one notice the plaster on Bonds finger whilst on the trigger on the front cover.
Yeah, Craig makes note of that in one of the official website reports (or something like that--I do remember hearing about it a while back).

I did a double take when I first noticed it to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. I'm glad they didn't work some Photoshop magic & make it disappear.Any one notice the plaster on Bonds finger whilst on the trigger on the front cover.
