Come on Agent. I can appreciate the fact that you want more information, but referring to supporters of Craig (who are relatively mild in their praise by comparison) as a group of mindless, ruminant mammals is a little insulting. You said in a previous post that you would like to hear more from Craig, and in this interview he promises to do just that in the near future.
As for myself, the only praise I was heaping on was in reference to one of his answers.
As for "Vague and aloof": while I meant it as a joke, the fact is that Bond is vague in the context of his relationships, and aloof is a word I would use to describe the character. Now, do I want that from an actor playing Bond? Not necessarily, but the current director seems to be giving so much away that it makes me wonder what exactly he is trying to explain to the masses:
"Really, Craig will be perfect for this! You'll really like it! We're going to have this and this and this. It's so cool! Please come and see it!"
So with Campbell sounding almost sycophantic and desperate, I will admit that I admire Craig's confidence: "You want to know how cool I'm going to be? Wait and see it on the screen."
Frankly, despite the brevity of his answers, Craig sounded almost media-friendly in this particular interview, which is at least a step in the right direction. But if he wants to keep it at this level until the premier, fine with me. The only thing I see it hurting are his endorsement deals, and since I don't get a cut of those ....

Go back and re-read my post, Stephenson... I didn't refer to
all Craig supporters as sheep, just the ones that blew the relevance of the interview out of proportion. Nice of you to generalize my opinion and extend it to such a wide scope though. *sarcasm totally intended* If Craig had given us something, anything, in the interview that would warrant the high praise, I probably wouldn't have mentioned anything.
If you like Craig (for whatever substantial reason), that's perfectly fine, but I, for one, am not about to jump on the Craig bandwagon simply because he's been cast as Bond - there has to be more to it than that. The fact that some are quick to make Daniel Craig the greatest thing since sliced bread at this juncture is a bit troubling. Is he a good actor? Sure. Is he a good Bond? No one knows. Being a good actor does not automatically mean he'll be good as Bond. So many Craig supporters have said, "Just you wait and see, he's going to be great." How do they know this? That point of view is just as naive as those who say, "Just you wait and see, he's going to be awful." Believe it or not, I'd like it if Daniel Craig proved the naysayers wrong, but I have yet to see or hear anything thus far to indicate that that is going to happen. Yes, there's still time - a lot can change over the course of a year.
And finally, how you can extrapolate confidence from Craig's simple answer of "wait and see" is beyond me. I thought it sounded more like he was just buying time because he couldn't come up with a good answer.
Just so you know...
vague + aloof = unsure and uninformed
tough + suave + cool under fire = Bond
(There's a difference.)
