I think we're being a liitle too hard on our new friend, medrecess. Who knows, maybe this actor will play LeChiffer. He would be an interesting choice. And if it came out of his mouth...well, that's sure better than coming out of a tabloid.

We appreciate the tip, medrecess. Welcome to CBn. :)

Nothing about this on the zoom tv website's news section.

True Zen, like I said, if he's right I welcome a nice Nah Nah Na Nah Nah pm.

However it just seems that radio stations, tv announcers and magazines all over the world are claiming to know exactly who will be in Bond. No need to assume anyone of them is completely right or completely wrong.

What I would like to point out is the fact that i personally do not believe in rumours about bond because so far we WOULD have had 10 bonds- Bana ,Craig,Jackman,Clive Owen,McGregor,Ledger,Butler,Law,and so on.

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THIS NEWS ABOUT GROVER IS CONFIRMED AS HE HAS SAID IT HIMSELF ON TV RECENTY.HE SAID THAT HE IS ONE OF TWO BADDIES IN ROYALE.

GROVER HAS HAD SOME HOLLYWOOD EXPOSURE IN JUNGLE BOOK AND A FEW B GRADE FILMS.

I derive no pleasure in trying to fool you.

After the whole Aishwarya Rai thing, I'm reluctant to believe Bond rumours that come out of Bollywood. This is one that has to come from Eon. Also, he says he met the producers "a week ago in LA?" I don't think Mickey and Babs have been in LA for months. All CR casting is happening in London.

It seems all pre-production is based in London as usual. Any news on the studio situation? The last two Bond movies started set construction around now. Are they going for Pinewood after all?

Sorry If this question is off topic (obviously, you can delete or move, I wont be offended)

Sony is in L.A. He could have been meeting with them. They are, after all, financing this film. It's their franchise now.

What does Bollywood mean, anyway? I keep seeing people say that. Obviously it must have something to do with Hollywood, but what exactly?

Yeah - how many times has this little baby come up ?

I doubt it, an Indian villain for a movie shooting predominantly in the Bahamas - it just doesn't seem right to me. If we were going for an Indian villain, surely they would just go to Indian as they were indeed rumoured to be doing shortly after DAD ?!?!!?!?!

"Bollywood" is a nickname for the India Film Industry (which is actually the largest film industry in the world -- bigger than Hollywood). I think the last time we used it in a CBn headline we got an angry email saying it was offensive.

Sony is in L.A. He could have been meeting with them. They are, after all, financing this film. It's their franchise now.

True. I just hear "producers" and I think Eon. I would say "executives" if I was meeting with the studio. But...you may be right. It's just a word.

This actor wrote a hilarious article about Bond villains, full of inaccuracies, wild misunderstandings and extremely strange points of view a short time back. Someone will have the link, I will see I if I can find it. He does seem like a rather odd person, who is a bit of a fantasist.

Jeez how many times is this guy going to claim he's the villain? "He will be off to Prague"...er, why's that then? They're not using Prague any more are they? "At least 300 actors have been considered", er, that's a bit ridiculous. There are 30-40 names mentioned/rumored for the new Bond, but THREE HUNDRED?!

There's a useful four letter word, and Mr. Grover may be full of it. It all seems like a last minute attempt to put his name out there while the CR casting is going on.

The 300 figure has actually been mentioned elsewhere. Think of how many actors were seen to play the new Superman. Hell, 200 guys showed up for one L.A. casting call for that CBS miniseries about Elvis.

Mr. Grover seems to be very keen on getting his finger into the Bond pie - or just into the papers. This article on Indian actress Mallika Sherawat's involvement in Jackie Chan's "The Myth" we give a few hints on what we're up to in this case: http://www.santabant...ma.asp?pid=8247

'nuff said.

==THREAD MERGED==

Indian actor Gulshan Grover claims 300 actors have been considered for the role of James Bond but the part is yet to be cast. He also says he's been cast as Le Chiffre. At least I assume it's Le Chiffre but Le Chiffre isn't Indian in Fleming's Casino Royale so perhaps the plot will be a lot different.

CBn has posted the link in the news section:

http://commanderbond...item&item=25646

300 chaps but Eon still can't find the right man? Interesting if it's an accurate number. Would seem to suggest Eon could delay the film.

Over 400 were considered for OHMSS, so I don't see why 300 for CR means the film might be delayed.

This Grover guy keeps claiming he is in the film, somehow I seriously doubt it.

Grover's hilarious article on The Ultimate Bond Villains is so littered with mistakes about the films that I'm not sure I can trust his counting. Maximiller? Jane Seyman? Rennold?

:)

Considering that Grover himself seems to be the only one who considers himself as being considered and this seems to be enough qualification to count as being considered in his book, I'd say the figure of 300 seems to be a bit low. If you coun't all those that have been brought into talks by a) themselves, b)* their respective agents, c) Timbuktu tabloids or d) the usual pasty-skinned wifeless suspects, the number is more likely to be close to 3000 than 300.

*look how I managed to do the b) thingy. Cheers freemo :)
