10) Bond v Jaws (MR PTS)
Let's see Jaws fly without wings, and Bond grabbing someone else's parachute off in midair!
....
6) Bond v Lippe (NSNA)
Just way too much slapstick for a Bond fight! Too much Three Stooges, too little tension.
....
5) Bond v Zorin (AVTAK)
How Bond does not roll off the Golden Gate bridge, I will never know!
.....
2) Bond v Xenia Onatopp (GE)
Could there have been anymore of an annoying character in a Bond movie than her? Pretty self-explanatory.

Ouch! You just named four of my favorite fight scenes in the entire series.

All the fight sequences in TND left something to be desired, because it looked like all of them were just rushed through during shooting, without any attempt to make them look interesting or exciting. Worst case on that film was the fight with the guard on top of the printing press. Too brief, and Pierce had him over the edge too easily. And when the guard fell into the printing press, the fake blood on the newsprint didn't even look like blood. No thought was taken to make a fight sequence look as real as possible. Fight scenes like that just don't win the critics over.

"They'll print anything these days."

Would've even been worse had Bond not won that fight.

What got me is that Bond is supposed to be a secret agent yet he never had any cool direct moves to use on his opponent's. You would think he'd be taught some secret deadly special moves but no which was a bit out of context with the fact he was an agent.

Yes, the fight with Bambi and Thumper in DAF is pretty bad, as is the afore-mentioned schoolgirls vs martial arts students in TMWTGG.

I think one of the funniest fights is in LALD, when Moore's Bond easily beats the 2 Mr Big henchmen who have been told to take Bond outside to waste!!!

It's so corny!!

pretty much any of Moore's fights after TMWGG...

and yes, I agree the bambi/thumper fight from DAF...
As much as I love Sean, he was already out of shape since YOLT...

Really? That's one of my favorites. It helps that the scene is helped out by Barry's score and the breathtaking aerial photography. Doesnt hurt that the back projection aint too shabby either, I can actually believe that Moore is standing on a cable car hundreds of feet in the air.

The fight in Beirut in The Man with the Golden Gun. Nobody ever mentions it, and there's a reason. It's completely unmemorable. And the fight really just happens for no reason.

One of the great cinematic moments, never mind Bond moments. Steven Spielberg famously lists it amongst his favourite ever movie scenes.

Fight in Beirut??? Great, now I have to go back and watch one of my least favorite movies to see what that fight was about!

To save that pain, is that when Roger is stealing the golden slug out of the dancer's belly button and a couple thugs break-in and pound on him?

It also doesn't help that it is not explained who the thugs are. Random thugs ent by her pimp?

First, I have to say my least favorite fight might be Bond vs. Sandor. It moves as fast as a seventh grade fight in the cafeteria, with far less ferocity. It's got some of those moves that just show how they must have shot the scene without giving the actors ample time to speed up the fight, or the editing necessitated that only one exchange be done at a time. Fortunately it is saved by the cool way Bond dispatches Sandor in the remorseless tradition.

Also, I can't help but wonder, why did Connery's fights peak in FRWL? There was potential opportunity to see more of the same intensity, even in smaller doses (Capungo, Bouvoir, Largo, etc.). Those fights were fine, but why did they never look as impressive? (I can't imagine what Bond was doing when he had the capungo's leg...)

1) Bond v bearded fat man in Zorin's horse stable (AVTAK)

Indeed! did anyone notice this guy was an extra in UK soap Eastenders? he was always in the Queen Vic, sometimes wondering the market. He was also in a Spandau Ballet video called 'Fight For Ourselves' :)

45 seconds in, makes quite a few shots in the video:

After reading all of the posts here, I have come to the conclusion that all of the fights in all of the Bond films are bad. Thanks for showing me all these years that I have been wasting my time. I'm going out to play now. Bye. :)

How about the fight in FYEO at the harbour when Bond knocks that guy over the side of the ship (just before he jumps down and almost shoots Columbo)? One minute the guy is facing towards the ship the next he is being knocked overboard by one punch from Bond!

LOL. Yes, Bond really does punch hard!!! I don't think that one is as bad as some of the punches in Zorin's stables in AVTAK, though... :)

Almost anything from the Moore era...Not hatin', but it's true, the melee fights for the most part during that time sucked hard. The only one off the top of my head that I thought was good was the one between Bond and the three gangster dudes in Beirut from TMWTGG.

I should mention this guy hates Casino Royale because it's not a checklist formula movie with a happy ending and asserts that Ian Fleming would have objected to the film's story...even though it's identical to what he originally wrote. So I wouldn't take anything he thinks seriously.

Personally, I like the fistfights in From Russia With Love and Thunderball. Sometimes smaller works just fine.

Elevator fight in DAF, it was like watching two grannies struggling for a purse.

And as for my favorites, well my top two are Bond v Grant in From Russia with Love and hotel fight in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. As for favorite fight against a muscleman baddie it's Bond v Oddjob in Goldfinger.
