I wouldn't leave, but I'd be mighty annoyed.Although now I must wonder, if tomorrow it were announced EON was dropping Daniel Craig and hiring a new, younger bloke to play James Bond, how many people would up and leave? How many for good?

I wonder - now that he is settled into the role in the public consciousness, would people now buy the image at that press conference - particularly the longer hair?
Good point, Jim. Looking back at those photos, I think Daniel looks nervous and out of his depth. If I see him at a press conference or interview now, he looks a lot more self-assured and confident. I think that is more telling than the hairstyle.

Speaking for myself, yes.
Speaking for other people, yes.

I'm a bit curious as to what it's going to be like next time round. Exciting, yes, especially for people like me, who never really followed Bond all that closely around the time this was happening. But will it be as exciting as this? I mean, when you look over all the actors people were suggesting...some of them are really out of left field. And Craig is definitely one of those left-field options. Fantastic choice though
Believe me, the huge buzz around Die Another Day was amazing too, in November 2002. Not only was this site very busy with lots of discussion and excitement, but British TV was full of all things Bond.

I've been around here long enough to know that DaveBond is right. The lead up to DAD was awesome. I remember when images leaked of a bearded Bond showed up on this site. Oooh the uproar that caused (not by everyone mind you) people were furious that Bond would be captured. No one wanted to see there favorite hero lose (it might have just been one person, but it was still interesting times.
Edit: I just noticed your sign up date DaveBond...did you post under a different alias back then?

Yes, JimmyBond, I registered under a different name, and by the time I returned in October 2005, I couldn't remember my previous log-in, so I registered again.
