Peyton Manning stats Week 1: 19 of 26 for 253 yards and 2 TDs

Tim Tebow stats Week 1: 5 rushes for 11 yards and one onside kick recovery.... The debate ends now...LOL!!

What a stellar performance last night for Manning and the Broncos 31-19 over the Steelers... :)

While I was pleased with the effort by the offense, the defense did let up considerably in the second half and let a very mediocre team get back to within 13-points in what should have been a 35-40 point blowout. That raises some concern.

Also, they were playing the Bills. If they beat Pittsburgh, or even play well enough not to get blown out of the building, then I'll let up on them a bit. I do have a feeling, though, that Pittsburgh is going to absolutely manhandle them, especially with a concussed Revis either missing the game or not being at 100%.

Turns out I was right after all. Can't judge a team after just one game against the Buffalo Bills. They played a real team today and showed how bad they truly are.

The Jets are a joke. All bravado and absolutely nothing to back it up. Hopefully they finish the season on a 15 game losing streak so Woody Johnson will be forced to clean house and start over yet again.

Aints give up 75 pts in 1st 2 games of season for the 1st time since 1985. We sucked then & it looks like we are in the Matt Barkley sweepstakes.

Having saw my Broncos lose a heartbreaker to the Atlanta Falcons, in which Peyton Manning threw 3 INTs in the first few minutes of the first quarter, I think the bigger issue of it was the absolutely AWFUL officiating by the Replacement Refs.. And it wasn't just tonight..the officiating in the first two weeks in general has been a DISASTER!! We had better hope and pray the NFL and REFs Union kiss and make up ASAP!!

These replacement officials are terrible. Dolphins were given a gift of a catch on the sideline in the (I think) second quarter where the receiver dropped the ball when he hit the ground and it remained a catch after replay. Dolphins score a touchdown a couple of plays later and the game eventually goes into overtime and clocks in at well over 4 hours.

The hypocrisy of the NFL is just sickening at this point. We'll protect the well-being of the players, at least the ones who play out on the edge and who are famous instead of protecting everybody and focusing on changes that could be made at the line of scrimmage that could improve the health and safety of the linemen, but that doesn't matter. They preach player safety until it's inconvenient, which is the case with the standoff with the regular officials. These replacements barely know the rules and are barely able to provide minimum competency in terms of basic officiating, let alone looking out for the well being of the players, which is also their job under the new NFL regime. The NFL needs to get the regular officials back before we just have to place one large asterisk next to this season.

I was fortunate enough to go to the Broncos vs Texans game at Mile High yesterday... Ok, a disappointing end, but I'm still very encouraged by the way Denver clawed their way back to almost win, just like last week against Atlanta. Also, it was a very great honor to witness former WR Rod Smith get inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame at half time..Just terrifc!! Now then.. to the officials.. Yes there were some HORRENDOUSLY bad calls and no-calls..the worst one to me was when the Refs charged Denver an injury time out....when there was still 4 minutes left in the game!! That can only happen if there is under 2 minutes left... Fortunately, they realized their error and reversed the decision but still.. COME ON MAN!! To me though, the officiating in last nights Ravens vs Patriots game took the cake..when you have the home crowd chanting "Bull-s$%t !!" so loud that it's picked up on national TV, you know things are bad..

What an ABOSLUTE JOKE, FARCE, COMEDY OF ERRORS that ending of the Seahawks vs Packers game was!! EPIC, EPIC, EPIC FAILURE REPLACEMENT REFS!! I do hope that once the commish, Roger Goodell gets the [censored] sorted out with the REAL refs, he would have the good sense to resign as NFL Commisioner.. UNBELIEVABLE!!

We've now had three primetime games in a row turn controversial. Last night's finale was ridiculous, with John Harbaugh being penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for calling a timeout and then Baltimore winning (and it pains me to say this because I despise New England) on a field goal that wasn't a field goal. Now tonight takes things to a new level. Goodell has lost all credibility at this point. The hypocrisy of the NFL when it comes to player safety has reached the point of being a joke that can't be remedied unless the league owners decide to replace Goodell (who I think will go down as the worst commissioner in league history) with a new commissioner, and now the integrity of the game is completely, 100% lost. Whatever happens this season (including my Jets somehow by the grace of God winning a Super Bowl), it will have an asterisk on it. One can only hope that the Packers don't miss out on the playoffs by either a tiebreaker or a full game in the standings.

The Minnesota Vikings!!!! Lol Just Kidding, I am really biased since I root for them, but this season they aren't doing that bad...
I did predict that the 49ers would go all the way because they have been having a terrific season but then they got beat by the vikings so now I don't know.

At least the NFL still has a season. Unlike the NHL. I want my Bruins back. I want to see Malcolm Subban in his rookie season. :(

You know that you're a bad franchise when this story actually gets coverage:

New York Jets superfan Fireman Ed resigns

The Jets franchise is clearly the worst franchise currently in professional sports. It's gotten so bad this year that I just have to laugh at their games this year. I was practically on the floor with laughter when they gave up 21 points in a span of 52 seconds on Thanksgiving against the Patriots. And the sad thing about the NFL this year (and this is thanks to the players not being allowed to have contact in practices anymore) is that the Jets are still very much alive in the playoff race at 4-7.

I'm thinking New England and some NFC team. I'd say the Giants again, but they aren't as good as last year. Screw it, I'm giving it to the Packers.

Broncos...11-3!!  :)  and we have an excellent shot at securing a 1st round by after the Pats laid that egg against the 49ers last night...We just need to secure wins against the Browns and Chiefs and it's a lock...

Tried to get into this sport, but it's just too much stopping and starting for me.

Feels like it never gets going.
