Haven't seen Doubt, but it looks good. I saw SM twice and love it! B)

Hope you enjoy it. It's a generally small-scale drama that succeeds most from the performances of the key cast. I'm a fan.

Over the past few weeks, all "007" of the recent Bond Blu-ray releases & this week was the Blu-ray of The Day The Earth Stood Still. The inclusion of the 1951 version of the movie sold me on it.

Two of my favourite flicks that I've seen in the past year: Slumdog Millionaire and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Neither of which will be done justice on my pitiful little television.

The Japanese 'Ringu' Trilogy, for my girlfriend. She likes Subbed films, rather than the usual ones. B)

This was a good one. I got the Alfred Hitchcock: The Signature Collection box-set for only £6. It fetaures Dial M For Murder, I Confess, Stage Fright, The Wrong Man, Strangers On A Train(Special 2-Disc Edition!) and North By Northwest. I bought it from a second hand shop but all of the films bar North By Northwest and I Confess are still in their cellophane wrapping. Best bargin I've found in ages; I guess there's an upside to this recession after all.

Batman: The Movie on DVD. I got it for my nephew for his birthday. He's still three days away from his fourth birthday, but I've already made him a Batman fan. All I've got though, are Batman and BB & TDK, and I think those would be too scary for him, at the very least.

Defiance
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (been putting buying that one off for a while...)
Frost/Nixon

All DVD. F/N is by far my favorite film of 2008. Defiance still holds the cake for 2009 thus far.

Bought QOS (of course) and then Valkyrie for my dad for Father's Day, later this month. He's a huge WW2 history buff, so I know he'll love it!
