Does mankind learn nothing? You'd think that after Episodes I- III, no producer in his right mind would set Lucas loose without supervision and a couple of men in white clothes within his grasp.

PR Leap, a free press release distribution site, announced 2 days ago that a model named Laura Dutta has officially landed a role in Indiana Jones IV. Here's the original press release:
It is official! Model Laura Dutta represented by ASH Models has landed a role in Indiana Jones 4. The movie is the 4th sequel in the Indiana Jones franchise and will cast Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. Indiana Jones 4 is to be directed by Steven Spielberg.
Though Miss Dutta has a three month shooting schedule, her agents from ASH Models has confirmed that she will fly to Paris during shooting to do Fashion Week.
What roll she will be playing is unknown.
Whatever the agents of Laura Dutta claim, this news is NOT official! I have contacted Lucasfilm about this and their response was "This is only a rumor and there is no new news at the moment on the movie."

Well, Lucas announced his intention to have INDY 4 released in 2007 on MTV today (Harrison Ford announced a few days earlier that he was given Spielberg and Lucas a 2-year period to make it happen or he wouldn't do it), so you may get your wish.I sometimes feel like the only one who wants to see an Indy 4. I guess I just want the chance to see one in a theatre, even if it is garbage.
I hope we get an outstanding sequel that really has some magic to it. I want this will be one of those great sequels, full of fresh ideas. I'm just skeptical that it'll turn out that way.

But getting Ford to return as Jack Ryan might be a good move.

19 years is too large a gap though! Stallone will probably get away with it in Rocky6 because that isn't as action-orientated as what a good Indy film should be. Harrison Ford is just too old now. I would have thought that the turn of the Millennium would have been the cut off point for any decent 4th Indy film to be made.

How can a pensioner run around climbing and fighting?
Ford will take nothing but a beating about his age. NO critic of the film will leave out his age. Rather like the new King Kong, was there any critics who didn't mention it's stupidly long running time?

It sure sounds like it. However, I have a feeling that as soon as that final piece is about to be placed on top, someone's gonna pull a piece out of the bottom.Might things be finally falling into place?"

I hated Indy 3 and I enjoyed the hell outa "Temple" but it really falls apart over time(that stupid kid, paternal Indy crap, Willie Scott). Raiders was a masterpiece. They should have just left it alone...and now Indy 4 after all these years? Groan.
Harrison can still do one more and then i'd be fine with replacing him after. Tarl--Indy 3 was excellent. Temple was the one that sucked.
