Abrams said they had not expected to get her back when they started shooting the season. It was an unexpected surprise when she said she would. This will undoubtedly be the trademark "shocker" to the end of this season

Plus she was on a late night show and said she was interested in playing the character again, but not full time. As Jack goes "crazy" (seen in the previews) its likely that he'll have some thought of the *real* Irina (specially stated real due to the previews) in a flashback in which she probably says something or does something revealing about Sydney or Rambaldi, Jack will most likely die shortly after this - perhaps revealing this to Sydney in a moment of truth. As I said earlier too, Irina might not be dead. We never saw her die and the main characters of this show have a thing about not staying dead. Theres a rumor, and they planted this seed by making Vaughn think he was going crazy, that Lauren (even though you saw her body) is still alive. I can't back this up besides what the actress who played her said about wanting to come back and that she thinks that her character is still alive. You'll notice they also apparently threw in cloning on the show this season and you haven't seen Sark for quite sometime. (if its cloning anyway, I guess it could be a number of things)

Lina is much, much prettier, IMHO!

She's attractive, but Garner is HOT.

A female friend of mine and I were sifting through DVDs trying to decide what to watch and when we came across ELEKTRA with a pic of Garner on the cover she turned to me and said:

Yeah, stay away from TiVo.. I'm quite glad it was wrong about it's first prediction. Jack pretty much is the best character IMHO

I'm not reading the spoilers above, but I'm loving the direction this season is headed. Last night's eppy was fab (and directed by Jennifer Garner). Next week's two hour show looks to be fantastic!

Dixon to be the Kenny of Alias. I mean this season alone he's been hospitalized like every other episode including tonights, when Vaughn shot him, the bio terrorist thing inside APO... Give this guy a break I'd be all into the spy biz, but if all that stuff happened to me, I'd quit.

I think because of where he's at, he gets a "you're not going to die pass." It could be though. My money is on Nadia.

The preview for next week does seem to back up the thought that Nadia gets it. Also earlier this season didn't they also say (on the show) that one of the sisters (Sydney and Nadia) would die.

After a four-episode (or 5 if you count the two-parter as two episodes) marathon over the weekend, I am finally caught up to date with Alias. Loved all four of the episodes for the most part, but the whole ending with the agents flying down with the big glowing Rimbaldi ball thing was just a little too comic book. Love the concept, but the design seems weird.

The only other thing that concerns me is the whole cloning thing. It just seems like such a convenient plot excuse so you can bring a character back. The Sloane clone was cool, but now it seems everybody can have one out there and that would really take something away.

As far as one of the sisters dying, it will be interesting to see what they do considering Garner's pregnancy. Anybody suppose Sydney will go missing again only to show up again later on in the season?

It's Irina. All signs point to Nadia or Sydney. I can honestly see them bringing back Irina to sacrifice herself to keep Nadia or Sydney from killing one another. Maybe anyway
