You're probably not likely too, either. I think they produced too many of season 1 and they didn't sell well, so by the time the second season was ready to be shipped then they really cut back production to meet less demand, thus the higher prices.I still haven't found a cheap Season 2.
I too have tried to find it for a cheaper price and the best I found was around $50, and that was at a Suncoast Video store that was closing down. I didn't buy it. I enjoy the series a lot, but it's not something I really need.

Cannot find a region one version yet.
Network only does R2 releases. If you want a R1 version, you'll have to settle for the 2 volume A&E release.

A&E are not very good at giving you extras on the DVD sets, though The Persuaders have a few commentaries. But the way I look at it - having all episodes is more important.

The A&E prints are better than the previous UK Persuders! DVD release(Carlton). I'm waiting to find out how the prints used for the Network set compare.

More than 150 films. A thousand lovers. Five wives. A cruel mother. A son killed by heroin. A daughter he fears does not love him. If you have lived the life Tony Curtis has, and lived it to the age of 81, you need survival strategies. For Curtis, one is making art: the studio of his two-bedroom home overlooking Las Vegas, where he lives in self-imposed exile from his Hollywood detractors, bursts with his own: surrealist boxes filled with mementoes of his life and splashy, childlike paintings, one of which has just been accepted by MoMA in New York. A second strategy is psychotherapy: since the 1950s, when he would visit a shrink four times a week, he has been a fan of that. And a third? Perhaps it is to sit on a tall director

When will the link to the A&E Biography on Sir Roger be available on Roger-Moore.com?

And yes, dammit, my tittle-tattle curiosity has been piqued by the Jamie Lee Curtis secret....

What a fun interview- he's quite a character!

I've always respected Jamie Lee as a person, though don't care about all of her movies. She always produces an impression of a strong family person. She was recently on...well...lol the new "Martha Stewart show" and she spoke a little about her father in it, but mainly concentrated on talking of her husband and what kind of activities they like to do with their kids.

Lady Templar,
When will the link to the A&E Biography on Sir Roger be available on Roger-Moore.com?
Hi Spurrier,

There's something wrong with this timeline. He was busted at Heathrow in 1970. 1n 1974-75 he was still getting work in movies & tv. Plus, "crack" didn't come about until the '80s.Busted at Heathrow for marijuana possession when he entered the country, within four years he was an LA recluse smoking crack.

The Network DVD sets of The Saint and The Persuaders! are top notch. Highly recommended.
I had the A&E sets, but ended up buying both series again with the Network sets. Of course A&E didn't release all of the black and white Saint episodes too.
I really hope both series are put out on blu ray in the future. I still enjoy both of them a great deal.

The Persuaders! is still my all-time favorite TV series and Lord Brett Sinclair remains my favorite Rog role. This past August, I even had my picture taken in front of 15 Queen Anne's Gate, the exterior of which was used as Sinclair's London residence (warning: I posted the pic in the other Persuaders thread); it was a Persuaders geek dream come true...

Here's a question maybe Lady Templar can answer: What medallion is it that Roger wears in The Persuaders? It's round, gold, and is also seen in 1969's CROSSPLOT.

Together with all The Saint episodes and other ITV series.
Both The Persuaders and The Saint on Blu-Ray are must-buy's for me.
