But having seen THE MATADOR, I'll remind y'all of an old saw: don't judge a book (DVD) by its cover.
Yes, the movie is definitly of a higher caliber than the box art. ![[censored]](https://debrief.commanderbond.net/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
It's the best film I've seen at the cinema this year, and easily Brosnan's best performance. I'll certainly be adding it to my DVD collection (wonder why it's taken so long to be released, though).
I know I'm miss Brosnan fan who "can't find fault" in the man. But... in all seriousness,
The Matador was one of, if not the best, film I saw in the theater last year (i saw it last year). Has it really been that long? I think since the release dates where all over the place the DVD release could have seemed delayed depending on where one lives.
GOLDENEYE, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, DIE ANOTHER DAY and THE MATADOR - that's all the Brosnan you need on DVD. I doubt we'll agree on that, though, Athena.

What about
The Thomas Crown Affair? I'm sure you just forgot about that one.

I started a thread listing all the Brosnan DVDs out there... I own them all... muahahaha. So ya... 5 Brosnan DVDs is NOT enough.

Not that I'm defending the box art, but its the kind of imagery that will make people more likely to pick it up at Blockbuster - Brosnan with a gun, a Bond girl-like silhouette, flames in the background, a general Bondian vibe to the whole thing.
It's true it has that Brosnan Spy vibe to it and that will draw someone to pick it up in Blockbuster (who uses blockbuster anymore when there's NETFLIX!). But the "flame" girl just doesn't even make sense if you've seen the film, me thinks.
